Tsuijigoe
Made move throw-invincible from start until 7th frame. Removed all hurtboxes apart from that over the head region from start until 12th frame. Made move super-cancelable from 10th frame after start onward.

has anyone tested this?

If that’s the case then why shouldn’t the sniper simply call them out to his/her teammates? At this point, you can basically just look at them for 2 seconds and then the game does all the work… Then again a pro sniper is just going to kill everyone he/she spots, like every pro awper in CS.

@Cervatoz:

Still no real practical application, aside from punishing a throw with a Tsujigoe to super but… Risky stuff lol

@Mingo

In BF3 you don’t have this kind of overpowered sniper. First the range is usually way bigger than in CS (bigger maps) so the sniper does significantly less damage. Unless you headshot a guy moving half a mile away, you’ll have trouble killing him with one bullet (+ this “I am breathing so the lens moves” thing). Moreover you give the opponent’s position only to members of your squad (ie max 4 ), increasing teamwork

What about TC9(MK cancel)xx Tsujigoe xx Super?

Just finished Arcade Mode on Persona 4 Arena, I can tell I’m going to like this game already and I know nothing about it at all. Played Mitsuru and Chie’s Challenge modes a bit, still not 100% sure which character I’ll end up playing.

edit: After playing some more and a few matches online, I’m leaning toward Yukiko.

edit again: Just got my first salt message, “Spamming POS all you shitty Yukiko players are the same.” trololol run into fans more k

Summer Jam was fun. I was looking for you Mingo to say goodbye but couldn’t find you.
See you at the next major! I won’t loose to such randomness again. And I’m already on the Guy matchup.

The game may be different, but the complaints always the same.

“OMG, WHY YOU SO CHEAP WITH SPAMMING SHIT?”

So finaaaally I’m back at a PC. Much to talk about here.

In tournament, I beat two Guy players no problem. I actually learned that Guy has footsies besides st.MK. Can you believe it lol. And his cr.MP is a gdlk antiair that can hit behind his head somehow. He would basically do cr.MP buffer EX Shoulder, which somehow beats Ibuki’s cr.MP. I solved this situation by using sweep instead, and abusing/spamming jump kunai for the lulz. Then once I get a knockdown I spam unblockalols ftw.

Then I proceed to lose to Vigilante’s El Fuerte again. I must really suck at the Elf matchup. If only I won that match, I would have had a chance to play Sanford Kelly. Well Vigilante beat Sanford right after beating me, so that must be proof he’s not just a random Elf/scrub.

Then I lose to Hornett’s Sakura, which I feel reaaaaally bad about. I watched his previous match and had him completely downloaded. I went for plenty of EX dp’s, and pretty much all of them hit. It was just a combination of him having good vortex blocking (I should have just used the unblockalols, I know), him obviously mashing buttons like a madman (which my frame traps didn’t punish?), and really unfortunate circumstances, like I mash EX dp knowing he’s going to push buttons, but then he does EX Tatsu and goes over me??? Then he gets a free herp derp cr.HP xx EX Tatsu into ultra for a fuckton of damage. There wasn’t any gdlk reads going on; just a bunch of autopilot and luck. If I re-played him in a money match I can almost guarantee I’d win. /salt

Speaking of money matches, I didn’t quite get to money match anybody unfortunately. But I did get a crapton of casuals in. I was pretty much raping errbody in casuals. There were only a few people I was going back and forth with. Notably, a decent Rufus player, who was really exemplifying my bad habits (hello crouch tech vs dive kick), and a CViper player with gdlk execution/reaction/ability I’ve never seen before. He would basically do walk up and/or frame trap with cr.HP xx seismo feint and hitconfirm that into U1, lol not even Latif or Wolfkrone does that. I probably should have adapted better, but in the end I was definitely on the win streak vs him. Before he left he ended up saying the matchup was 6-4 Ibuki favored lolol. Does CViper even have any 4-6 matchups? Maybe vs Honda or something.

Damascus’s Akuma friend was really tricky to play. I wasn’t used to a super lame style of Akuma, and ended up playing much too impatient. My local Akuma friend always tries to play cr.HK footsies whenever possible. This guy instead just does jump back fireball all day like it’s online lol. I also played LuckyD’s Dhalsim again, and did much better. At least we were going back and forth, and it wasn’t free for him like it was before.

I think that’s about it. Pretty much everyone else in casuals were just combo practice. Either they didn’t play AE much or they didn’t know the Ibuki matchup at all. I did like the character variety I saw. I played at least vs Ryu, Ken, Ibuki (mirror match trololo), Makoto, Seth, Akuma, Gen, Sakura, Chun, Dhalsim, CViper, Cammy, DeeJay, Guy, E.Ryu, Guile, Rufus, Boxer, THawk, Adon, and Rose. I must have played against at least half the cast.

Going back to combo practice, combos definitely weren’t a problem anymore with my new (tournament legal!) headphone setup. Basically PS3 AV cable -> RCA to 3.5mm converter -> audio cable -> Fiio Amplifier -> Audio Technica ATH-M50. Gdlk combination. Besides dropped combos due to nerves, I had no problems executing Tsumuji loops, Double Tsumuji loops, and jab xx SJC U2 once I was able to hear shit. For any frequent tournament go-oer I would definitely recommend such a setup, as it’ll only run you like $50-100 or less if you already have headphones to use.

Definitely a fun tournament. Would go/play again. When’s the next tournament?

Yeah we had to leave semi early because me and my friend had work the next day and it’s like 6-7 hour drive back to RI. Plus we wanted to get Philly cheese steaks before we left, since we were in Philly, amirite?

lol isn’t Yukiko supposed to be like bottom tier?

Guy beats Ibuki on the ground, and his cr.MP doesn’t hit behind his head: http://i.imgur.com/75i5l.png.

I’ll try to be better next time. Thanks for the matches.

It sure was antiairing my crossup somehow then.

I think she’s bottem tier according to my friend. I also can’t beat her because I haven’t found a simple punish or trick around those spamming fans of hers and persona spam :'3. Oh, speaking of P4A, I was playing Persona 4 Arena here and there, I don’t actually own the game but I think it’s decent enough for me to play it from time to time. I also tried Yosuke and he didn’t really last a good impression on me, but I think it’s because I haven’t tried or played with his moves or combo’s at all. On the other hand though I found a new main for the lolz and her name is Labrys. Even if nobody picks her and that she’s low tier, her damage output is insane, kthxbye.

Isn’t the better OS against Rufus’ dive kicks, Ibuki’s st.mp+throw? I don’t think it does a great job to guard against his low attacks, but it seems to work versus his “dive kick or throw” shenags.

And I’m pretty sure the Viper v. Honda matchup is ragingly in her favor. It was largely considered Honda-favored for a long time, until C.Viper started to get opened up, and his neutral+fierce no longer became an issue. That and her vortex game destroys Honda, since he has no single reversal that will reliably get him out of that situation. I think her jump+jab beats him clean?

st.MP + throw simply gets you throw because throw has priority over st.MP. Usually I just mash backdash because Rufus doesn’t seem to have a guaranteed punish against Ibuki’s backdash. Besides cr.HP I guess but I’d rather take that instead of getting stuck in his dive kick mixup.

Except Honda has safe reversals, ie: jab/EX headbutt. It’s really up to CViper to abuse Burn Kicks to stay in the air, and Honda to bitch slap her out of the air. But then again I don’t play either character seriously so maybe I’m talking out of my ass.

Haha I mained Labrys the first time I played the game. So sick with that scythe >:)

Ehh, if I cared about tier lists I wouldn’t be playing Ibuki and I’d be on that Cammy train.

Oh btw, I was looking at the summer jam results… I didn’t realize that DragonGod still plays ibuki after super edition, so it kinda surprised me there. It’s ok though mingo, he lost to chrisG’s sakura 0-2. Sakura’s tatsu combo + Ibuki = deadbuki.

Oh, about the tournament:

@RedCaliburn

I actually played DragonGod in a mirror in the team tournament. I lost in a very tight match because I forgot to punish his sweep lol. Sanford was so angry at me after that lol, he was pretty sure I was gonna win (did he bet something or…? ) but… meh.
Speaking about the teams, we played against the FNEX team first (hello easy tournament) and won against two members, one Seth (hello new Mingo technology) and one Sakura who kept doing empty jump cr.LK on my wakeup…
We then lost to EMP’s team, DragonGod OCV’s us and I had teh salt because I was about to win (I’d have been bodied by Hiro or Sanford anyway, I actually played Hiro earlier and lost something like 8 - 2… Dictator ftl. He was basically staying at mid range spamming his st.HK.
About the solo, I’m not happy at all. Won against a classic Ken (unblockalol ftw) who was mashing DP 24hours a day, won to another Ryu (who said unblockables?) in a surprisingly tight match, got bodied by a Guy player cause I could not get out of his pressure, won to an Abel using the “Light Tsumuji loop” aka st.MP st.MK MK Tsumuji st.LP st.MK neckbreaker (easy to do, damaging, but so far I’m not sure it works again another character than Abel).
Then I played Vangief, I completely destroyed him at the beginning, had one last round to win to continue and he decided to go random and caught me with a lot of nonsense stuff (long range SPD hoping I’ll poke? Seriously? I punished it once with neckbreaker and he kept doing it)
I actually have it recorded if you are interested.
So basically I lost to my own mind. I saw the name “Vangief”, I was like “OMG OMG he is pretty famous as a Gief, I’m sure he is godlike so I should really take care” and it looked like he was not (at least he did not know the Ibuki matchup). Well, he made it through the pool afterwards anyway, I just think he was not used to the Ibuki matchup. Next time I’ll try to play people without trying to put a price tag on them before. I just lost because I thought he was gdlk, but he was not, and I couldn’t adapt to his game in one match :confused:

About casuals… same as Mingo. Overall I had mostly victories, I actually only lost to Wolfkrone (6-0 lol, although I could have taken some matches if my execution was on point - sunday morning matches. I also have it recorded), WeirdoNeo (lost something like 5 or 6 - 2. I had never played an actual good Juri and… wow Oo ), Mingo (teh mirroooooooooor) and Hiro (Dicta) in freeplay. Oh, and to a Rufus in a tight match, but jump dive kick all day made everything for him.

By the way… He was ALWAYS beating my kunais with his EX dp (the thing where he jumpe and hits 4/5 times, I believe it’s called “snake something”). Am I just using wrong setups or what? I was interested and tried a lot of universal setups (neckbreaker st.LP sj.kunai, neckbreaker step forward instant kunai, Tsumuji LK cd instant kunai…) and he got all of them.

Oh, and I can pretty much say that it looks like nobody actually knows how to play Seth here. Mingo, you’ve played my friend and you’ve probably seen what is a “medium-to-bad” Seth in France. He destroyed everybody with his Seth, and I played a few Seths there, nobody was as “good” as him.
And I taught him a few stuff about Akuma vs Ibuki (he completely hates Ibuki), playing lame is actually a good way to play, this + smart vortex for a good Gouki could make it.

According to my Honda friend, this match is Honda favored, mostly because Viper can’t punish Dosu Koi on block so he can spam it all day whan he gets the distance. This + Honda’s neutral jump HP which kinda cancels any burn kick Viper can do,

Remember that quote I stated before about putting people on the gdlk list and that they should be treated just as equal as any player- it’s if they can block your moves or not.
I’d like to see all of yours and everyone’s matches if it’s recorded so I can take a look.

Sure, I’m gonna upload them for my French friends anyway, I’ll post them here as well. I have videos of me vs Vangief, Wolfkrone and WeirdoNeo.

And yes, I won’t have this stupid kind of thoughts again. You’ll see when I upload the match :confused:
