I would use Hidden Missiles if Ghost Rider’s j.H caused Soft Knockdown.
That way he could easily convert damage from airborne opponents that gets randomly hit by a missile.
If j.H caused a soft knockdown Ghost Rider would be extremely good. I hit people with that ALL the time and being able to convert off that? That’s just too good I think. I just really really really want a hand to hand command grab. THATS ALL! That’s all he needs in my opinion.

I was trying to think on a Ghost Rider team that covered all of his Neutral Game Flaws, ignoring things like DHCs, Good Anchors, and so…
And I reached : Ghost Rider (a) / Haggar (a) / Shuma-Gorath (a)
Haggar cover the heavy rushdown characters and the blind spot range of enemies that keep jumping/trijumping at you, gives you a free combo if hits, is a combo extensor.
Shuma covers the Runaway/Keepaway matchups, allows you to combo after a j.S/j.H, and works as a combo extensor too.
I really want to play Ghost Rider competitively, give your opinions, and what assistances you think mostly cover the flaws of his neutral game.
To be honest I don’t think playing haggar is necessary though. I rarely have an issue with being rushed down so heavily that it’s inescapable. Ghost riders “special” back dash is also a back grab option select so he is really good at escaping pressure and Heartless Spire is extremely useful as a get off me move. I prefer a strong horizontal assist that can also combo extend. (having a high or low assist is useful but I’ve found that Mystic Ray isn’t an end all neutral assist so you might struggle a bit)

Had one of the best Marvel days today. I wish I could of recorded those matches because I think I made Rider look like a good character for a sec.

Ghost Rider - 6 Months of experience

Hmmmm 4 days of training with Haggar is enough (I like to mess around with a Haggar team a bunch and he’s one of the easiest characters to play IMO.) but 1 week training with Shuma!? That’s just crazy man! Good luck though.

Just the average Ghost Rider game plan :D. Mystic ray gives you so much and makes nearly every matchup a winnable match, just gotta play smart. What 2nd character/assist are you planning on using?
ive started using tasky but it didnt work out for some reason. Im thinkin deadpool, using quickwork for unblockables
Deadpool is an excellent choice since Mystic Ray can help with zoning and even OTG them into a full combo off an overhead. I think I might be stickin to doom now though.

Plasma beam for a strong horizontal assist, it helps a lot more than task arrows. And all you do is jump and Air Dash Dlown-Forward or Down-back repeatedly but this isn’t the doom thread so let’s not get off topic.
I think the most useful assist for GR is a one who can combo off a Jumping S. thats just my opinion tho
Yesterday I was playing against a Vergil/Dante/Doom team.
Vergil calls out Dante assist when he has low health, I Rage Whip them into the wall bounce chain (I forget what its called) and kill Vergil. Then I juggle Dante to death with just S. It was hilarious, didn’t know you could do that in this game.
