How common is the jab short short and jab jab short shippu combos in FFA/Regency matches. Is kara shoryuken vital to survival in the Cali scene. Just wondering from across the country.

jab short short is extremely common. jab jab short, not so much. kara shoryuken isn’t extremely vital to survival in the cali scene at least not so cal, but it would really help turn the tide against some of the stronger opponents at ffa.
I think jab short short works so well cause everyone sees what looks like a strong and let down their guard, allowing the shorts that follow to actually take effect. Yi does it a lot and he gets the shorts maybe 80 percent of the time from what I’ve seen.
A lot of times I see the jab jab short or jab short short combos is because someone went for a crouch tech but got the low jab instead. They then take advantage of it by comboing a short xx combo instead.
I don’t use that technique. I don’t know why. But that’s definitely a viable explanation.
jab comes out faster.
