OK GUYS, UPDATE FOR TOMORROW:
I may not be able to come tomorrow because it’s my dad’s birthday. I’ll post on SRK tomorrow if I can or cannot come. HOWEVER, tomorrow, we’re begining our weekly RANBATS. They will be simple in design:
-round robin, best 2/3 games, best 2/3 rounds
-each win earns you a single point
-rankings will be updated and posted each week
The RANBATS will be SF4 only (for now).
I talked to Corry about making sure this happens, but if Corry doesn’t wanna do it, do I have any takers on organizing this and making sure it happens?
How about we leave the 1st ranbat for next week? Wait until you’re around Mihai since you probably have the most experience running those. Maybe just have casuals…? I’m also saying this cus I haven’t been able to finish my new stick, lol.
To be honest, I don’t know much about running tourneys, but this is a really simple thing for you guys to run. We just need one of you guys to write down the people in attendance that want to be part of these ranbats, then have them play as follows:
(assuming let’s say 4 ppl join, player A, B, C, and D)
A plays B
A plays C
A plays D
B plays C
B plays D
C plays D
So that’s 6 matches in total. Someone just needs to keep track of who beat who, and for every win, +1 point is added to that person’s score.
Round robin is the simplest tournament format, and you guys should have absolutely no problem doing this.
Also, don’t worry about your controller, since usually Chris brings his two sticks, and I think Andrew brought his, too, so I’m pretty sure they’ll let you use one of theirs if you can’t use yours yet.
On the other hand, if you guys really don’t wanna do this, that’s fine. I just thought it would spice things up a bit, and get people into the competitive spirit.
Guys I am really sorry to mention this, but I had a load of work dumped on me today and I won’t be able to make it tomorrow. I can for next week I believe, but unfortunately you wont have an extra PS3 and TV. Really sorry about this guys.

Its a good idea not to have a meeting this week, everyone is stuck in midterm hell, especially a certain engineer. Thankfully my schedule clears up after this friday. Anyone want to do some casuals on the weekend? I need practice, bad.

So I was listening to “Digitial Ignition” from SF EX cuz its an awesome track and it reminded me of the flash collab on new grounds from the summer. I know that the usual guys saw it (i.e. Chris, Drew, Istvan, etc). But i decided to post it here because if you haven’t seen it, its a must watch! lol

i think any of u that can should show up to windsor on sat for that tournament i just posted a few posts back:P even if u want to play casuals people would be more then happy to have some people from london to play with.
Hey man, it’s very unlikely that any of us are going to be able to make it down. Most people are really busy with exams right now, but I’ll def talk to the guys and see if we can make it down for one of your future tourneys.
Also, I think it would be quite interesting if we organized something here in London, do a 5on5 with Windsor, London, and the various GTA groups. Add some serious cash to make it worth while for people to come, put the matches up on a projector. I figured London since we have potential for the best location being at Western, and we would be a half way point.
