Ok, so here’s how today will go:

  1. We meet, and we decide on the spot what games we will be doing tourneys for.
  2. The cost will be $1 per game.
  3. The format will be round robin. This insures that everyone plays everyone else at least once in a best 2/3 set.
    -Total rounds won will be counted, and rounds lost will be subtracted from rounds won. This insures everyone plays their absolute best, every single round. Once everyone plays, the top 2 players with the most number of rounds will play in the grand finals, which is a best 4/7. They will be playing for the total pot.
    -The basic formula for number of games is as follows: If 5 people join say SF4, then the total number of 2/3 sets will be 4+3+2+1=10. So let’s say an average of 2.5 games per set, then we have 10x2.5=25 games played, not including the grand final.
  4. Rules are simple:
    -Winner keeps character, loser can change character/super.

See you all around 4-5.

Oh, if ST is played, it will be played on PS3 with HDR Classic.

Downloaded a bracket maker…here’s what I got with random seeding, 6 man size, and double elim:

This should make Battle of the Burger go MUCH smoother…this way we can actually get a few games done instead of not finishing even one.

Another thing that we’re going to start doing is have one US stick, and one Jap stick on each side. That way, people can choose one or the either. Please, no more controllers. I know Will is getting his stick soon, so no more controller for him. Switching controls wastes a lot of time, and reconfiguring a pad takes even longer.

Finally, I just want to add that I can start bringing an old tube TV for Thursdays, so we bring the total number of TV’s upto 3. This way we’ll have:

-1 tv for SF4
-1 tv for ST
-1 tv for 3S
-no tv for CVS2 (cause it’s trash)

And A3 will be run whenever ST or 3S is done.

K guys I just got an even awesomer bracket generator called Tourney Master. It keeps track of everything, it’s really really nice.

So I generated the brackets for next week randomly, to be fair, and here are the 1st round matchups for SF4 if anyone is interested:

Chris gets a bye
Will vs Ra’id
Me vs Corry
Drew vs Istvan

Also, would it be possible for someone to bring a laptop or netbook so I can run the brackets using the software instead of on paper?

Mondays and fridays are probably best for me, mondays simply cuz i only have one class. Tuesday and Thursdays = dance practice so bad nights lol
