I had a lot of fun, especially for my first tourney.
I was owned, but the experience of playing really good players is priceless. I also got to play some games I never would’ve played, specially battle colliseum and ss-tenka. Everyone was really friendly, and there was a “low” percentage of drama. The guilty gear tournament and the people who were heading it very especially nice; makes me wanna play gg slash oh so much. Overall it was fantastic, and thanks to the people who sweated and slept little. Supreme Job!
Wow, BIG UPS TO THE NE! Third in teams GG, Jamarr taking 4th in 3S. I’ll be sure to give you guys a handshake or something when I see you at the Center again.

Shit was funny because the whole match people were talking shit and rooting for the other guy, it felt like I was the only one rooting for Justin, and when Justin actually won he got up and turned around and everyone was quite. It felt like everyone in the crowd didn’t know what to say. Then Justin raised his arms screaming…

Congrats on getting third.I really enjoyed playing you and learned alot from our matches. I defintely should’ve played C on you instead but I was a little concerned about footsies with certain characters…and I should’ve switches sides too! Next time we play I gotta play you with 2p side! Good games nonetheless. I hadn’t played in a while so it was nice to get to play some really good comp.
VDO: It was really cool to play you in some casual matches. good P-Groove stuff, very impressive. Look forward to playing you again sometime. Let me know when those matches are gonna be posted.
Popoblo: Glad to see that you came out Popoblo…I wish he had gotten to play a little more…and you’re right meaty Short was a much better option. Hopefully I’ll get to play you again.
Collin: I learned a great amount from our matches, good and fun shit. To the ATL CVS2 guys I chilled with, good shit. I still like A-Kyo but I think that I will look into playing a running groove along with A and C…his options are so much better with run. Thanks for the tips and all that.
Koop: Much like all the MD peeps I saw again, it was good to see family again. I’ll probably be home in the summer sometime. Take care man.
To the staff at FR9, you all did a wonderful job. This was my first FR and more than likely I’ll be back again.

My first major, I one a match in T5 so I was happy. The drive down from MD/VA was CRAZY…ya’ll just don’t know - and fuck the towing folks in ATL - I’m still contemplating calling some of my folks to handle that for me…but I’ll try to be good. Maybe next year I’ll be living in ATL and I can throw in some shit

all right here goes…
-first off, HUGE thanks to lay, ryan (fubarduck), and alex for letting me stay in their room. the KY guys i was planning on going with never really committed to going and flaked out the week before. without the TX guys helping me out, i would not have even been able to go to FR9 at all.
FR9 was a good time. it’s impossible to top texas showdown 5 because that was hands down my best tournament experience ever, but FR9 was cool. i could not be more disappointed with my cvs2 performance, but i keep on learning what works and what doesn’t. i beat 2 guys pretty handily, then lost to jwong to go to loser’s. our first match was decent, second match i didn’t get to his vega (he played A-haohmaru/rolento/vega, i played A-eagle/bison/blanka). i’d like to see those matches. his patience is too good. it seemed like everytime my bison would stand up, rolento was sweeping me immediately. maybe i should’ve have played hibiki instead of bison second game, but i wasn’t thinking. my bison was garbage against him and didn’t do anything.
then i watch dataika (i think that’s his name) beat VDO in loser’s to eliminate him, so i’m just glad i don’t have to play juan because i play him all the time and his P-groove is tricky as hell. i pick A-eagle/bison/blanka, he plays A-rolento/eagle/bison. i beat him pretty solidly first game to go up 1-0. then second game in the blanka vs bison match, i try to whiff low short into RC electricity as AA against his bison crossups. i guess i was nervous because i was a little late, so i eat a fat crossup combo. not long after, he does it AGAIN, i mess up AGAIN, and i get dizzied. so now it’s 1-1. last match, it was closer, but i turtled way too much against his bison, and lose. i was expecting to get top 3 and hoping to win it and get that pimp cup (great idea by the way), but getting peaced out that early was disheartening to say the least.
afterwards i left immediately because i had to drive 6 hours home so i didn’t get to say bye to everybody i wanted to. next time, PLEASE have cvs2 the same day as 3S on SATURDAY. the TX guys in my room would’ve played it and lots of 3S players are also cvs2 players. having 60 something pre-registrants turn into 34 on sunday kind of sucked. i understand people don’t come, but cutting the field nearly into half was a little much and i think having it on saturday would’ve boosted the numbers slightly. since 3S was on arcade, there wouldn’t have been a conflict with TV’s or anything either. but live and learn.

-room 319 aka lay, ryan, and alex. 3S friday night was solid, the team cvs2 saturday night was tons of fun, and you three are all cool as hell. mini-dan lay was a beast in cvs2 in casuals and i would’ve been interested to see how he would’ve done in the tourney if he didn’t have to leave sunday morning to go home to TX. ryan, your chun is too beastly and i learned lots of little tricks and setups. alex’s makoto is solid as hell too, i’ve tried to pick her up and i’ll probably try again now.

sorry to everybody i had money matches with that we didn’t get them in. i was kind of low on cash so i didn’t seek them out. maybe next year.
