That’s it.

I’m sorry. Just making sure (at work, can’t test it.

I’m hitting… 3hk, neutral, 3ppp, neutral, 3. Yes? Haha

Yes, but here’s how the the loop can go:

3HK > 5 > 3PPP > 5> [3 (hold) > 3HK > 5 > 3PPP > 5] x4 or 5

The reason you hold is because there you cannot immediately stance cancel into an attack so just hold it to make it easier. Speaking of 3’s, we should be really using 1 inputs instead if we want to include cr.MK stance canceling pressure because we’ll get Cyanide and Happiness on 3MK.

And I still struggle pulling this loop off. I need to keep my cool. Meanwhile, I’ve been looking up some optional substitutions for the last breakdance.

  1. Storming Flower - Tech Knockdown
  2. Rain Dance > LK Mistrust - Can’t get it to combo big following a cyanide ground bounce, but I was able to tag into King’s Knee loop easily while the dummy jumped so this should be the optimal anti-air combo.
  3. Breakdance > Rain Dance > California Roll - Mess with their heads with a corpse hop.

Guys - can you help me on a couple of things? My best combos are:

j.LK/HP > cr.HP > RDS > Turn of Fortune > AOP > Wave Crest > MK > HK (367 damage off the top of my head)

(tag-in) cr.HP > AOP > HK Phoenix Talon

aside from the loops, is there anything else I can try to increase damage? My execution is below average though, lol.

btw, I love Turn of Fortune > AOP > Wave Crest. It’s safe after the Wave Crest, and everyone online seems to think the blockstring ends after Turn of Fortune

j.LK/HP > cr.HP > RDS > Turn of Fortune > AOP > Wave Crest > MK > cr.MK > Phoenix Talon also works :).

That’s about all I can help with though, sadly.

Really? I have to check that out. Thanks

If you go look in the Xiaoyu combo there are a lot of things that you can discover. It all comes down to placement and if you have any EX bars.

The juggle limit of the M, H versions of Hakkesho (QCB+P) has now been set to the same as L, can no longer continuously land the move.

You think that might limit the sweep loop?**

Just found the changes on Shoryuken
The sweep loop will be reduced to 4 reps as the hakkesho now counts as part of the juggle

I’m not at my house right now, so I can’t check, but have you even tested this?

You can do the loop without Hakkesho for 6 reps.

But it’s much easier to follow up with hakkesho after cyanide. And most of the time you hit cyanide at a max range where cr.hk doesn’t reach

It’s just a theory. I can’t say exactly how mp hakkesho will work till May 16

Let’s not state anything as fact until we actually get our hands on the game.

Granted I think you will be right (that was my first hypothesis regarding the sweep loop) but let’s wait and see.

Lol i forgot you can do the loop raw.

It would make sense if the loop was reduced to 4, and sadly getting the loop off of Cyanide is a bit more difficult than getting it after Hakkesho, but I’m not sure about the max range thing. When I go for Cyanide, I’m generally up close lol, maybe I’m weird when it comes to playing Xiao, but I don’t really do spacing outside of her cr.:mp:, besides that I’m generally right up their face. It might just be a bit harder to recognize when you hit Cyanide to react so fast and go right into the loop, I always thought that M Hakkesho gave you a good amount of time.

I tried Cyanide > L Hakkesho. You can’t follow anything up unless you tag out of it.

Its actually a lot tighter to hit hakkesho after cyanide u can litteraly dash after a cyanide and still raw loop it will just be 30 dmg less

Wait…is that what the patch changes? I just makes M Hakkesho take longer to hit? The reason I ask is because I always though M Hakkesho was really easy to hit after Cyanide, at least now.

Na iam just saying that doing it raw is easier
