I don’t know if this has been posted, but EX Double Map Sweep connects after Dark and Stormy -> Turn of fortune, and you can link c.jab afterwards. So, you could do s.fierce xx fortune cookie, dark and stormy, turn of fortune, EX double map sweep, jab, c.fierce xx fortune cookie…
I’m not sure how much damage it does or anything, and it’s probably a 1 frame link!
I don’t know what the official term for it is but I’ll just call it CADC (charge attack dash cancel), anyway it’s probably going to be more important for Xiaoyu than other characters since she can loop anywhere using it with cr.HK.
Example:
f.MK, [cr.HK CADC] x 2, cr.HK/HP xx AOP, qcf.HK (369 meterless off overhead)
The timing can be hard at first but you can loop usually 3 cr.HKs with dash cancel before juggle limit stops you. You can also exchange the last cr.HK for cr.HP just to make it easier on yourself. The hardest part about looping cr.HK however is that it sometimes cross under your opponent when you dash and therefore have to switch which way you input Hakkesho charge accordingly. When doing a magic series tag into Xiaoyu you can end with this as well anywhere on screen. Haven’t tested with different character hitboxes yet so I don’t know if this works on everyone.
Glad you found that. Running with that concept,here is one that has a use for AOP QCB+LK
F+MK, QCB+MP, D+HK~D+PPP, AOP QCB+LK
250 Damage which isn’t much but opens up partner switch possibilities.
cl.:hp: xx :qcf::hp:, :p:, :p:, :d::d:, :k::k:, :lp:, cr.:hp: xx :qcf::hp
Also, if you do Fortune Cookie at the end of that combo, you can actually combo that into Dark and Stormy again, but the link is tight. So if your combo is possible, then it would be possible to do:
cl.:hp: xx :qcf::hp:, :p:, :p:, :d::d:, :k::k:, :lp:, cr.:hp: xx :qcf::hp, :p:, :p:, :d::d:, :p:, :d::p::p::p::df::f::lk:
Someone try that and tell me if that works, I’m not on the game right now.
I’ll just make it easier for people to understand lol, but CADC’s or whatever they are called are extremely difficult online I find, I have a hard enough time trying some of them in training…online…I doubt I could get it lol xP Anyways, enough of my rambling.

you can do anything. Im new so i just do st strong p stance upper and if i want a bit more damage I tag in poison but im 100% sure there are more optimal and damaging combos that can be done with her but i just picked her up the other day so im not really used to her.
How long does it take to make decent combo video? I have always wanted to make one but IDK how, I know some people connect cables to record their combos. Is there anything else to do besides just recording your tv with a camera?
Can we please call the punch stance AOP (Art of Phoenix) and the kick stance RD (Rain Dance)? As a player who dabbled in Tekken a lot (and mained Xiaoyu) it’s kind of confusing.
Like, it’s easier in my opinion to say cr.MK xx AOP > P (meaning cr.MK into “punch stance”, then wave crest).
Where have you guys been finding it’s best to Tag Cancel out of Xiaoyu’s combos?
Agreed on the notation thing. And yeah I usually tag cancel out of AOP > qcf+K startup. With Raven I can follow up with j.HK into a full groundbounce combo. Depends who you have backing her really but it gives you plenty of time for a followup
What are people using as her anti-air? And any execution tips on instant AOP > P? I feel like I need to double tap the punch after the stance, which works, but I feel sloppy doing it.
