yeah but not much and he certainly cant win tournaments.
Actually that was just sarcasm; the purpose was to emphasize my frustrations with Lightan’s bad (or my unfamiliar) match-ups. Just give me your friend code and I’ll show you what I can do with a “joke character”.

Honestly, I think Frank West has it worse than G. Lightan. Lightan has “greatly” improved since the japanese version, he does more damage with normals, he has more HP, he has more combo’s that lead into supers. I don’t go to offline tournaments, I don’t know of any around where I live. I have placed 2nd place both times with Lightan in 2 online tournaments with 22 players. I have beaten Tekkamen teams, unless they have perfect timing with with the tekkaman assist + blade’s projectiles. Usually if they are a Tekkaman blade main or secondary, then it is a lost cause, but if they use T. Blade just to counter Lightan, and they don’t usually play him, then I often win.
so lightans improved huh? thats good because he needs all the help he can get. i still dont think lightan can win any offline tournaments or even place high and online changes nothin in my mind because the giants can take advantage of lag. if there was no lag in your matches then your lightans earned my respect to actually place 2nd. anyway, im not bashin lightan but i want to know if there are any offline tournament vids which feature lightan because i havent seen any.

Towards the second half. He wins a few and keep in mind this is CGoH, before he was improved.
a lightan beat royal? now that is shockin but ippatsuman was the only one who could fight lightan, polymar was hopeless as he has no fireballs. the 2nd half shows that lightan is hopeless against tekkaman.
Keits said that once people know the matchup. You can gamble on that if you go to tournaments that people won’t know how to fight against Lightan, but I’m not going to gamble on that.
I’ve also run into this. Some characters can really abuse specials and zone the shit out of Lightan.
