Hey. I’m trying to LED mod my stick and ran into a problem right when I thought I was finished. My buttons work…everything works but the LED’s won’t work ( Using Uila’s , FGWidget ) I’ll post a pic ( I triple checked that everything is where it should be ) Don’t know if you can see anything…it’s a huge mess right now ><
I followed (How to)SSF4 TE'S xbox360 Toodles FGWidget LED mod So i pretty much did everything he did.
thin wires are from Uila LED’s ( I went with upper row - Red, bottom row _ white ) and to get white you just solder together Red Green and Blue right?
Please help me out guys. I’m really frustrated and have no idea what’s going on since I’m not experienced with those kinda things

LEDs are wired backwards. The ‘+’ point (black wire) should go to the *_OUT spots. The wire or wire combination for the color you want should go to that ground spot, not the _OUT spots.
You’re not the only one to be confused by the ‘black wire isn’t ground’ problem on those.

Relax, you’re way on my good side. Actual posting up pictures with notations about what you were doing is the efficient effort we need to see more of. I’m used to seeing this question simple as a sentence ‘Why my LEDs no work?’
You have no idea how much I appreciate your help. I bow before you…I really do. I was on it for hours, trying to put everything together and really Really take my time and after plugging it in…man I got so frustrated. Now everything works, it’s 3;30 AM and I can finally go to bed. Thanks you!
( Yup. I find it a great way to show others what’s going on in your head and how you see it. Haha, I see people like that every single day and it just drives me nuts. Don’t know how you managed to get used to it though. And only reason why I didn’t do it at first was because I was damn sure nobody’s going to reply me for at least 2 days. So thank you…again

anyone know if KNinserts, Uila or ArcEyes will fit in Sanwa Clears?
I have 6 on the way and will be modding them and was wondering which ones to buy?
if not, I have made my own homemade LED mod previously and will do it again for these.

Toodles, is it easier to start with an FGWidgeton an TE or easier to add the Kitty first? I guess what I am asking is does the addition of the kitty make the installing the FGWidgeteasier?
Putting a LED Controller into a TE is pretty easy since you can solder to ground and the signal lines at the distro block. The kitty makes it a hair easier becauseyou can connect the power line to a Kitty screw terminal, but that’s nothing compared to connecting all of the signals to the LED Controller. So, doesnt matter if you put in the LED Controller first or the Kitty.
Got it, LL is still out of the FGWidget, any idea when it will be back in? Also, how easy is it to get the knserts into a rolie? Really thinking about going with them.
you can purchase the fgwidget and knserts from Toodles… never used Rollie’s but I would think it would work…
No idea on LL’s restock, but you can order direct in the meantime; all of the info to do so is in the first post of the Cthulhu thread.
The new KNserts (the white one, v1.4) work in Seimitsu KN’s, Seimitsu K’s, and Rollies directly. They work in the clear Sanwa’s as well, but it’s recommend you glue them in place on those.
Toodles, with the FGwidget can you light 10 buttons plus a joystick?
