My neighbors tree hit my house a couple weeks ago…I had to pay for the damages. Stupid tree law.
Sorry I’m more of a bush man myself.
Im guessing it was the weight of the branches & finally just snapped…Destroyed part of the fence, some gutters, & my new deck got scratched up too. Dumb neighbors, dumb law…
Dumb trees amirite

What a strange thread. Liking it though. From the East Coast and been in CA for the last nine years. Got a thing for palm trees since I was a kid. Thinking of planting a few of these by the pool out back.
Not sure how much oxygen these guys pump out but they look cool as fuck.
oh and… just because no one’s posted this yet. Bam

trees are good concealment for when you have to use the bathroom also they are good shade
they house many insects so look out! if you ever had a daddy long legs crawling on you when you have to use it
its very nerve racking
they are good resting spots too!
Props to that sudowoodo post. I think the new Exeggutor should have a grudge match with sudowoodo reflected in their pokedex bio

Yuujirou Hanma stayed in Florida a year. Got tired of all the nonstop violence. Went back to Japan because he welcomed the downtime to be able to sit back and chill in a tiger stripe g-string from time to time.
What do you think about this tree?
It’s actually not a tree.
This is a century plant. It grows in tropical areas of america. (Yes, even Florida. But also mexico.) They can have smooth leaf edges or spiky teeth like the one above. The black tip on each leaf can be found on both leaf types and is sharp enough to pierce flesh. You may notice it looks a bit like an aloe plant. While Aloe plants are sought after for their soothing sap, the sap of a century plant is poisons. It can cause itching, rashes, or burning sensations that can last for days. I was told that someone tried to cut their century plant back with a chainsaw and needed to be hospitalized after getting soaked in sap. Not an aloe plant indeed.
The century plant gets its name for the long amount of time it takes to bloom (10-40 years). It only takes a few weeks for the stem to reach full height, which can be as tall as thirty feet. Yes, the stem can grow several feet in a single day. After blooming, the century plant dies.
I chuckle every time I hear an Irish person say tree instead of three.
Most people don’t believe me when I tell them that pineapples don’t grow on trees:
