It may have been to have the same ratios of zenny-per-item for both PS and Steam, so you wouldn’t have to pay via a steam wallet or something.

I still think the fact you can’t see the colours beforehand is fucking ridiculous.

Think they’re just copying other games that use their own currency labeling. KI has KI Gold also.

How does the color shop work? Do you need to have a certain lvl for the character to buy the colors or do you need to beat easy, medium, hard survival to unlock some of the other colors?

Also: why have a color shop if you first have to unlock stuff in the game to get a certain color? I just want Pink Ryu noooooow.

I’m a little lost. The only costumes I saw at the store were the Story Mode costumes, but I fought against 2 diferent players who had the extra costume (the one with shorts and a bandanna).

I’ve bought “everything” in store colour wise and this is what I’ve noticed.

  • Colours 11-14 only appear when your character is at certain LV.
  • Premium costumes can only be bought with real money/zenny.
  • The Premium costumes and IIRC the story costumes have a colour “11” but I don’t know how to unlock them. I assume they will be purchasable at some date with either in game or real money.
  • The Japan special edition costumes are still in the game code but don’t seem to be purchasable and I don’t think they will be unless for real money as well.
  • Not sure how to get colour 15 yet.
  • Alex only has 10 colours in the games code.

I pre ordred the game and didn’t get shit because I used Steam. Fuck other peoples pre-orders and fuck pre-order bonus’ entirely. They’re just a shitty way to fleece people, just like this season pass and gating ‘premium’ costumes that I have to use real money for. I already paid $60 and got $10 worth of a game. Now I have to spend money on a season pass just to get HALF the content that should have come in the base game.

I think survival mode is the quickest way to level up.
I’ve heard LV25 = Colour 14 LV40-50 = Colour 15

I hope they do the math on pricing out stuff with zenny, I don’t want to end up with an amount of leftover zenny that will be too small to buy anything.

I got very low levels on all character but have beaten story mode and survival on every difficulty with all of them and in the store I’m able to select all colors on all characters (11 to 14).
I also got a level 45 Ryu which also can only buy colors up to 14.

So basically color 15 is not in the store and it seems to depend on your survival mode progress which ones are available.

No, but they won’t be available to you until you unlock him.

Pre-order bonuses. Chun Li’s, Cammy’s, Bison’s and Ryu’s costumes were given for those who pre-ordered. Depending from where you got it, you’d get one or another. Steam users got the Chun Li battle costume. Season Pass owners got Alex’s battle costume.

So colour 15 is only available after reaching level 50 with said character and costs 20.000FM on top of that. I’ll probably get there with two or three characters max over the entire lifespan of this game.

The season pass will only get you the premium costumes for the additional six new characters not the the current cast. I didn’t realise that before buying the season pass but the wording is very clear once you read it.
