Hey, I thought I’d poke my head in here. I’m visiting for a week from Georgia, and yesterday I was playing 3S, and got beasted by an employee who had a card, so, at least I didnt have to pay. It was fun, even though I got raped. I always play on console, the nearest place to me with a machine is like 45 minutes away, and its ALWAYS broken. Bah. But anyway, his side broke… the joystick wasnt allowing him to jump. I don’t know if thats fixed or not, yet.
Which guy were you? There was a random Asian kid who was playing Doom/Blackheart/Cable (?) who just did jumping FP with Doom for a long time. That was amusing.

^-- I think the MvC2 P1 control was installed wrong. P2 is livable (to me), but the neutral zone for P1 seems way way too big.

I have the utmost respect for you, Preppy, for all that you do for the Community. Here in Seattle and At Large. If there were a Props designation beyond ‘Mad’, well. You know, I know, everyone here knows.
I’ll do what I can on my end to create a public environment that encourages the fighting genre scene in Seattle.
Any criticism whatsoever is welcome. Once this whole remodel thing goes live and I get a solid team of techs I promise that I’ll do what I can cab-wise to help the scene.

I was playing 3S.
VF5 is in. It in not a 50"DLP.
It is two separate 31" LCD linked Japanese sit down style cabs. 2p on each cab, someone playing on one cab can credit up and challenge someone playing on the other cab. Being Japanese cabs (resplendent in all their Japanese languaged manuals…hoo boy have I got a story for you), they have Hori sticks, Sanwa (?) buttons.
In short, they are prettty fucking tight. Lindbergh Universal Cabinets. Fucking beautiful pieces of art, IMO.
Had two Sega Japan corporates in house translating the manual and linking the cabs (both cabs run off of a single Lindbergh platform). That was a trip. They did not ship the cab art with a cabinets so it looks pretty bare bones right now. Had one of the gentleman tell me that we are the only place in the US to have the US release of VF5.
Unless something ungodly happened after I left, they should be good to go tomorrow afternoon at the latest, late tonight at the earliest. They are going right in that empty space across from 3S and MvC2.

VF5 cab(s) are effing sweet. Gameplay and controlwise, no complaints at all. Two problems though, one glaring, the other irritating.
Irritating: 20 points a game. That’s two dollars. OUCH. S’an expensive cab but go-------d damn.
Glaring: NO PLAYER CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS. Looks like a solid US Ver. Issue. The cab, while beautiful and nearly exactly how I remember it being Japan, has no cardslot or nothin. Soooo lame. So, so lame. 2$ wouldn’t hurt AS much if I could, you know, save my progress and build a ghost.
Random: Anyone 'ave any idea which ver of the game this is? I didn’t pay enough attention to see if the US ver. is D or not.
OT and Random: Josh’s Yoshimitsu on SCIII “Joshimitsu” is ridiculous. Lvl 404 or somethin’ and I swear, whenever I walk past the machine somone is gettin the raw deal from that man.
