My dear fellow, those are what I like to call, “growing pains.” Soon you will reach a point where you will become all knowing. You’ll know what ranges you need to be in in order to land ex legs into ultra. I too, have lost plenty of matches due to faulty luck. You shall overcome!

Yeah I was actually thinking of just never doing ultra ever again after ex legs. Doesn’t do much damage IF and WHEN it does hit, and besides that, I love the fact that you can erase like 2,3 different attacks/moves from hella characters movelists just cause it’s so fast hahah.
Yeah…I would probably never try for that combo during tourney play. It’s just too risky if you don’t land it, and the reward isn’t that great either. Shit, they scale her ultra SO much from a combo. Causal play, whatever…I’ll try for it every now and then. Until I know I can land that combo at least 90% of the time, I refuse to do it in a tourney. That’s what the console version’s for! Lots of practice time with that combo, haha.
I just enjoy doing the crowd pleasing combos at times, LoL. However, I just end up looking like a fool whenever I miss her ultra. It’s not always about being flashy, especially when you’re playing to win!
I just got back from gameworks just now…I feel like me learning Akuma gives other people chances to play each other more often…but be afraid when I get on there with my Ryu!
Congrats Cole, but you know you better watch out for me taking that streak out! I’m there so much more then you as is, I get more chances! I think next time, I’m gonna make it an effort to get 60! But shit dude, 50 wins? In actuality that is 75 with the other rounds factored in, so on the real, GOOD SHIT my dude, stop beasting.
James: Yeah man, it’s not about being flashy at all when you’re playing for the win. For instance, what I like to do at gameworks, is try shit out for the first 2 rounds, and if I ever get down, I am trying to learn how to turn it on when I want…Kobe/Michael Jordan status. “I’m losing? Fuck that, time to turn it on…BAM turn the game around”

On the bright side, if you have a VIP-level card and purchase credits in $35 batches, the math works out so you’re still only paying $1.05 per game at the new rates. ($35 = $45 worth of credits = 4 credits per dollar x $45 = 180; 180/$35 = 5.14 credits per real dollar; 5.4 credits per game at VIP rate / 5.14 credits per dollar = $1.05 per game; no sales tax on credit purchases.) So, it’s not as bad as it seems, especially considering the increased length of the best-of-three-matches.

Abel, Gief, Balrog, El Furete, Honda = EX move Kara into Ultra baby!!
For charge : Charge, F, B+PP (ex move) , F+P (kara ultra)
For QCT chars: Qct, Qct+PP~P (meaning, do the ex and drum roll the last P)
Basically, you do this on a point blank move. You will absorb the first hit and then instantly go into Ultra
