let me squash this shit real fast. Now for those that know me KNOW ME, they know that I hate Tacoma with a passion. To me it’s hell, and it’s a place that I don’t want to set foot into. In all seriousness, when SF4 was announced at narrow’s that wasn’t enough for me to even go try the game. I went out there on a whim, and look at me now I will go down to that shit ass place and play me some games. Plus randomly enough there are no bums at Narrows…
Now the gas thing yeah that sucks, but gas is down right now. Also you ever hear of a carpool? Seriously if ppl want to go down but are tryin to save some cash I will take my explorer and drive a mob of ppl there (Just drive to bellevue first =p ) for me it costs about 20 bucks in gas roundtrip, more heads = you pay less.

I’ll be riding down next saturday (have to work till 6 but will be definately leaving early fuck THAT) If anyone seriously wants a ride, post. This is going for those on the eastside/seattle/area representing.
All I am trying to say is that for me, going to Narrows does not add up unless its monday or a tournament. Even on monday it is not worth it for me. I drive 45 minutes one way, and then I need to bounce at 10:30PM so that I can get some sleep for the next day. Fantastic, I spent all that time there and I barely got 5 games in if I am lucky. Granted, chillin’ with the crew is cool. However, I am done getting 2-3 hours of sleep a night. Since I work for the man, I get caught slipping and hell will be paid. It’s as simple as that. That also throws out carpooling out the equation since no one wants to leave that early if they close at 2AM.
I throw out the gas issue out there because it is a valid concern. I get paid so it’s all good, but it adds up real quick.
Also, I had been going to Narrows since day one. Please believe it was well before most of you even started showing up. Let us not forget the facts. My main goal was supporting the owner of the machine for bringing the game to the NW in the first place, which you guys seem to be doing just fine.
I’m liking the best of 5 match setting! It allows for some crazy comebacks.
I was down two rounds on several occasions last night, and managed to comeback and win 3 rounds in a row. It was all about my match with Josh, where he tried throwing a Hadoken at me when I had a pixel of life left with Chun. Ultra’d yo ass! Then round 2, you tried cheesing me with your Ultra. It barely did any chip damage, and you ate another ultra! LoL, too good.
Hahah yeah that shit went down to the last hit every round. I deserved that round two ultra for tryna cheese you haha. And cole almost losing to that one guy spamming fp shoryukens hahaha. He really wanted to practice that combo. ;p
The 5 round this is nice. You get a real good feel for the opponent and you can get a huge comeback. I’m pretty sure I went to final round 3/4 of my matches. They didn’t seem dragged out or anything either.
But watching someone pick beginner mode would probably be painful…
My tech boss wants to set up a projector above SF4 so spectators can watch the action. I’ll be promptly getting on this project as soon as I clock in Friday.
For what it’s worth, I think he’s a rather famous troll on The Stranger’s blog, so he might very well just be trying to stir up shit with words, and not with vandalism. He’s still a dick, either way.
I noticed that on monday. Damn that sucks. Hopefully Nate can hardbody that shit. From what he described, I am amazed that the game is even running. Lots of work went into that.
Fucking a man, If any of you guys see people doing this please let me know and I’ll put them in a fucking hurt locker… assholes like this is the reason we have to fight tooth and nail to get new games and cabs. Also I’m going to have that guys pic posted on the cork board in the main office so the whole crew will know who to look for.
