I had a VIP card from opening night (early '97). Every card issued back then was a “VIP” card. The art slowly faded around the edges from the years that it spent in my wallet. When I went to Gameworks in 2002–the first time I’d stopped in since 1999–the machines could not read my card. The people at the front desk were able to read my VIP card and transfer the credits to a new, non-VIP card. That made me sad.
The next time that I stepped into Gameworks was in late 2006, when I returned from Hell (AKA Texas). Again, the machines would not read my card. This time, I had to buy a new one. I’m not sure how you’d go about getting a VIP card these days though. Perhaps one of the regulars could enlighten us.
GGs tonight everyone; while I got perfected several times earlier in the evening, I started to feel a little more comfortable with Abel’s options and moving around later in the evening. The smaller rotation as the night went on made it a lot easier to learn as well. Hopefully I can make it up there more than once a week so I can catch up on all the cats that have been going to Tacoma.
Dunno if I’ll be heading to GW on Thursday. If anything, it seems to me like there’s too many people going. I don’t feel like waiting hella long to play =/.
Probably gonna head over in the mornings after work to finally try out sf4 so I don’t get whooped too bad. If anybody’s around between like 10-11 I’ll probably be in there today.
Oh balls. I’m used to the weekend schedule. Ah, fuck it, maybe tomorrow.
