I like this. I just tried it out on incoming against Spencer and it seems like a reliable incoming combo for her. I think depending on the character size we may have to use DP M for everything to combo (like on Spencer i had to use M).

Not sure if DP M works better on every character ( i only tried it against Spencer) but i would assume that DP M > smaller characters, DP H > taller characters.

you can actually set up dirtnap incoming unblockables with doom as you would do with dante.

kill character>mirage feint M (this will corpse hop)>call hidden missiles>mirage feint L (this will put you back in the original position while doom is shooting missiles on the opposite side from the corner)>activate dirtnap>dirtnap

requires a little bit more work but just in case any of you feel trapped into using dante with x23, there are alternatives.

been keeping this tech in my pocket for a bit…i also have 3 to about 7 corner mixups that i’ll dive into later, but each one is safe, some more safe than others.

remember x23 is all about mixups/pressure less about combos, catering to damage with x23 only hinders your team because most likely your team revolves around her. catering to mixups/pressure frees you up to play the team in any order.

How do you set it up in situations where you kill super early in a super? I couldn’t find a timing that was consistent in every match situation, only ideal ones.

in that case you would want to activate xfactor if you kill early in a super, or (just thought of this just now) you kill using weapon x super which will buy you time b/c it’s a cinematic (have to test this)

Yeah, I guess if you use missiles to set up WXP for the kill that would probably work.

After watching this video from the the stream and commentary thread (http://nicogame.info/watch/sm24991579) i was wondering how well X-23/Thor(Mighty Smash) can be. from first impressions it seems like it could be good for a dirt nap setup in the corner if well timed, I think she can combo after her otg (i know from he corner its possible. I think it’s also works midscreen) and i believe she can mixup the opponent on incoming better than Ryu can (and this ryu player is having some success.) also, she can TAC past Thor to another character for an infinite.

I’m not sure what assist work the best with both X-23 and Thor, but maybe X-23(CS since i don’t think Thor benefits much from an otg)/Thor (Mighty Strike)/Doom(PB) or Thor/X-23/Doom. It’s a weird shell, but maybe it should be messed around with.

Now or course, this is mostly a point X-23 team (since i doubt people really want to use Thor anchor, and his assist wouldn’t be optimal for neutral) but i think X-23/Thor/____ might have some promise. (either that or finals is finally driving me crazy.)

Edit: Strange anchor can be good too. I know from experience that X-23/Strange (bolts) has some potential (my friend plays Spence/X-23/Strange and he’s a monster.) and based off the wiki page bolts works well with Thor.

Doesn’t pikachu play thor/x23? He uses might spark assist because you can relaunch with it. I think two beams would be good for her and his tornado dhc is good for her since she pops them up so high. I don’t play thor but maybe you can get a lot off of that.

I think you can only get a pick up with that assist in the corner. (that’s all i tried when i was practicing with him). and actually i was wrong before, an otg assist would be good for him. Also, i think Mighty Smash as a CC is better than his beam assist.
I was practicing Thor/X-23/Strange and i found some decent stuff i think. Def a specialist team but i think it can work (got some stuff on my next video!)

Does anyone here have match up experience against Chris? specifically Chris/Doom (Rocks)/Strider? i was playing ChrisD and i just couldn’t get to him because of the flame grenades and rocks snuffing out my dash attempts.

Unfortunately i have no in game footage to show, but pretty much just imagine my characters being trapped by grenades and me derping around due to being hungover + having no practice that day. All ChrisD told me was to snipe Strider, although tbh Vagra wasn’t really a problem for me.

Also i’m thinking of joining the dark side and picking up Satan (Vergil). Kinda thinking of X-23/Vergil/Doom just so that the team order can still work after swords comes out (Vergil/X-23/Doom) I kinda wanna play x-23 as a bootleg wolverine with more options (not as easy options, but they’re still there.)

Also also, if you guys want to see a match of mines from NEC, here’s the link. It was a pretty bad performance on my part (dropped a lot of combos, got TAC instead of something else a lot, etc) the whole vlog is awesome too and it can also summarize my experience there as well (the biggest tournament i’ve went too next to GUTS/ECT. first one i slept overnight at instead of commuting back) So if you have time i would recommend checking the whole video out. repeat except since dante has lots of meter million dollars into ll for kill. with 2 assists should build 1.5 each time time you tag in dante

cool tech against ammy

Found a way to do a meaty dirtnap off solo x23 instead of constantly risking to try and time the character coming in, this works right on time. Doesn’t matter if your opponent blocks and XF cancels or tries to grab or tries to super or tries to helm breaker/foot dive. Only character I’ve found to get out is strider, but the funny thing is strider can’t get out all the time. His timing has to be strict. Idk if it’s a glitch with strider or not.

If you guys can improve on this that would be awesome, tired of getting punished from a dirtnap that’s suppose to be guaranteed.

*obv sentinel hard drive and morrigan’s lvl 3 can get out. But it hits so meaty the incoming character can’t even begin their incoming sentence
