1.) Will there be sticks provided for sf4/hd remix?
2.) Is there a chance there will be sf4/hd remix on 360?
3.) I live near pmall, so anybody coming from near that area that could bring me to this and back in exchange for gas money?
Nagata: Yeah, i’ll be there. Add Barry as well for SFIV. I also don’t want to step into boundaries but I found a really cool place to hold tournaments. It’s TTC-able and in Downtown. Close to Sherbourne station to be exact. If you are interested please say so. Not sure about venue fee but i’m sure it affordable and haggable. I’ll give you details if interested. I say this idea because not everybody can go to Hamilton.
As for brackets, do you guys use a program to do this.
I use http://allisbrawl.com/tio/ to handle tournaments.
Have been using it for SCIV.
No more papers on my end.
I’m also bringing a person just for casuals.
I’ll try to get more people to join but can only fit 2 more people in the car.
I hope we start using this place you’re talking about, that’d definitely help my situation and I would be able to bring more people (specifically entrants) if it’s closer. Thanks for bringing this up.
I couldn’t send you a PM (stupid SRK) so here you go
Hey,
If you can’t find a ride with someone closer to you and are still pressed for a ride, you are welcome to come with me.
The thing is, you would have to come out to Mississauga (@ Erindale Go Station) Sat morning. However the thing is, after the tourney I will be driving back to my parents’ place in Scarborough so I don’t mind dropping you off at home since you said you are close to PMall.
It would be cool if you are willing to pitch for some gas and parking money.
I organized a car pool to the last Hamilton tourney and it worked out pretty well.
We can discuss the Toronto venue in person. I’m definitely interested in discussing it as I know it’s difficult for a lot of east end players to come out to Hamilton.
At present there’s no laptop handy so I always make sure to have pen and paper just in case. When laptops are available we use ALJ Software’s Tournament Maker 2.1 It’s the program used by SRK for EVO and I use it for the nightly PSN tournaments as well.
Thanks so much man, I really needed the help. I will take u up on this offer, but I need help getting directions to the go station. Also, what time should I be at the station for?
take ttc to union station
from union station, take the go train that goes west to milton but get off in mississauga at erindale station
find a train that will get you to erindale station for 11am ish… iirc i think it leaves union around 10 30 am
check the go train scheduele on the website to confirm.
ps. there is another user on here named dayghost who i will also be driving and will be commuting via go train to erindale. see if you cna find him and you guys can take the same train together /no homo.
In order to do that I would need a regular liason with UofT doing the legwork.
I’d also need to get better hours for the room rental. We basically got booted at 7:00pm at the A&C tournament and I’d prefer being able to get a venue until 9:00pm at the bare minimum with midnight being a far more ideal closing time.
I’m sure there are many places to hold Tournies in Toronto rather than farmilton. Sorry about the Hamilton comment. It’s a nice place, i’ve been there many times.
Please hold off with venue ideas till Saturday. I don’t want to clog the tournament thread with things that Nagata says we can talk about on Saturday.
Nagata: I’m bringing an old laptop of mine. I only use it for simple programs like the bracket handler. I’m going to use it for TvC.
If anybody has a laptop they can bring, please be a sport and do so. I’ll bring the program to pass along to you. Trust me when i say that tournament will run super smooth when you use the program. Who can bring a laptop? Even an old one will do. XP please.
With the four main TV’s that POWNZ is providing for us occupied for the main tournaments, and an increased amount of players looking for casual stations, I’m asking people to help out. I will be bringing Gerjay’s 19" CRT with me. I believe Noodleman is bringing his 19" CRT as well. It’d be helpful to have one more casual/side tourney station. We are going to need a few PS2’s and (I can’t emphasize this enough) the 5 in 1 SF combo discs. Last tournament we needed multiple 3rd Strike’s and I was the only one who brought a copy. Please bring a copy of the 5 in 1 with you as we can switch between games a lot easier.
Also, I’ve got a few PM’s about this so I’ll post it here.

BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER/STICK.**
Last tourney we had a shortage on sticks and the people who were complaining were the ones who never bring sticks/controllers with them. If you don’t own one, get one. If you want to use one, make arrangements ahead of time. My HRAP2 got abused pretty badly last tournament and a stick that is usually 100% reliable was shot to hell until I made repairs after the tourney. I don’t want to see my gear abused so I’m not loaning it out this time around. I’m sure that sentiment is going to be shared by a lot of people if their stuff keeps getting busted up while on loan.
We need to be sure we have suitable PS2 -> PS3 converters for the tournament. Contrary to sentiment by a few players last tourney, I didn’t notice any issues with lag at POWNZ on test. The converters used last time will be admissable this time. I’ll be bringing a converter with me and possibly two if the post office gets their act together but I’d much rather be sure we have enough converters for three PS3 stations.
Jay Wang and I are donating PS3’s for SFIV. Do we have a third person donating PS3 for STHD? I’m looking to you old heads right now. If we don’t have another PS3 then we’ll be using the X-BOX360 with the copy that POWNZ has.
Does anyone know if people are coming that HAVE NOT pre-registered? Does anyone know if they pre-registered and can no longer attend? I’d like to make sure the pre-reg list is as accurate as possible going into Saturday.
I have 2 inpin adapters (ps2->ps3) I can bring. I don’t think they lag… been using them for a long time.
we have a total 5 inpins in Waterloo.
I also have a 13" CRT TV that I carry around (emergency street fighter). I prefer not to have to bring it, but say the word and I’ll pack it along. I’ll bring a PS2 just in case as well…
I cannot bring a PS3 because I don’t own the one I am using.
Justin, I’ll bring my PS3, but can it be used for SF4 and one of the other ps3 is used for SFHD? I’m prefer to keep an eye out on it for the tournament.
I would bring a ps2 as well, but the one i brought last time was on its last legs…barely loading a legit copy of CvS2…So as a last resort, I can bring mine.
Jay Wang should be bringing the 20" CRT TV, as it’s in his house right now. I’ll donate it to pownz and it can stay there if they want it lol.
I can bring a PS2 along with a 6-in-1 disc (same thing as the 5-in-1; also has SFZFG (japanese version of SFAA)). If Anant is for real on running A3, this can do rather than his laptop.
