Duey posted on EventHubs saying that he pushblocked the fireball. Maybe that affected the outcome…
 The only thing harder than figuring this out is wading through all the front page comments saying that Phoenix’s 2A causes chip damage. =__=
IMHO I believe the strangest thing is that PHX has Red-Regain Life when she “dies/transforms”. Shouldn’t it show zero life/red health if she dies?! Seems more like the game simply got confused (that 0 health as opposed to negative health) as opposed to something applicable.
Hard to say. This is as interesting as Who Shot Mr. Burns.
TK Shot has an explosion hitbox after the fireball is destroyed. You’ll want to setup your tests where the TK Shot kills on chip. My theory is that it’s the explosion that kills Phoenix (she has 1HP and hasn’t gone to the next phase yet) Another theory is that the game reads an object in the way, it can’t remove it so it doesn’t go to the next step. If so, it’d be practically impossible to setup in an actual match. With the only character capable is another Phoenix.
 I’ve only seen this happen in Phoenix dittos and I do suspect the TK Shot causes it.
Damn fireball is so good that even Phoenix loses to her own shit, LOL.
thejohnsonrock’s explanation seems like the most plausible one I’ve seen. You can’t cancel out of pushblock state, and if he pushblocked the TK shot but still died from the chip it’s possible the transformation couldn’t happen.
It’s possible to set the dummy up with these conditions. Let’s see some experiments going.
