He’s using juri in sf4 also. He went up against my boy mo0ns’s Sakura at the last big two i went to and I ended up rooting for/against them both.
Had to pull him aside and tell him about sakuras hitbox and the pinwheel problem. He seems like hes gonna play her. Good shit.

I heard Jago say that Juri can jump cancel her normals during the stream. Is her pinwheel safe in SFxT? because jago was doing it all day against Fab.

Jago did alright. Juri seems to have not changed coming over to sfxtekken which means most juri players will have a great time in this new game. I personally think she’ll be great as a meter builder and needs a good point character to use up all that yummy meter. That’s what i’m seeing atm. Ken also seems like a guy to go with seeing as his ex tatsu extends some big combos and damage.
Her overhead seems faster than in SSFIV. And maybe it’s me, but I think they made her boobs smaller in this game. Well, I think they were wider in SSFIV, kinda like Valerie Kay’s boobs.
Juri’s JP voice is different, its still eri, but seems like they made juri seem more happy as she does her moves
It’s good to see (hear) the same VA back, and she has some new voice recordings too, good stuff.
But it’s sad to see FSE gone =(
well she does “Enter” FSE during her new crossart, its sad to see her super sick fse combos or the over head mix ups not useable… I wish they made her kaisen dankairaku or her meximum juri end with the fse ability for a set amount of time, or have her charge a move (im guessing her charge super) be fse for a short period
Without FSE i dont see Juri being all that good a character in SF x T, she doesnt seem to heavily benefit from the new system mechanics and seems to have gotten all the stuff that made her bad in SF4 (From what i could tell its a big list so i wont go into it). If shes that bad im not putting myself through more low tier frustration again and will probably either play other characters or just not play the game since im not even that keen on it.
I share the same fear about Juri’s placement in the game Mike, but if she has better hit boxes and frame adjustments, it could make a huge difference. her fireball store bnb working on everyone crouching or standing would be a big plus. We can only wait and see.
Hopefully she is solid mid tier.
I mean FSE was really important, but they did make normal moves usable after a EX like EX Pinwheel xx Cr.MK xx Super, so we can expect something good from her, I REALLY hope shes good <3 juri too much to not
I think juris long limbs will help her.
Lk, mk, hk, launcher should work. I don’t see hk whiffing crouches hopefully. If this does not work shell have a lot of problems in this footsies based game. If this doesn’t work you should zone all day with her.

I share the same fear as everyone in regards to whatever Juri will be good or not in this game. It’s for this reason, I have hesitated to say whatever I think she will be good or bad in SFxT. If I was to say I thought she was going to be good or bad, I’d probably end up disappointed so instead I will quietly wait until I’ve played the game to pass judgement.
Online is going to make or break this game for me. I admit I’ve being spoiled lately with Soul Calibur 5’s incredible net code and general lack of BS ( ie, you lost because you didn’t know the match up, not because one move seems to beat everything you have. Incidentally, that is why I haven’t being around here much lately, being too busy playing SC5! ) So I’ll just wait and see. Best case scenario, I’ll have 3 games I’ll want to be competitive in ( SF4, SFxT, SC5. ) Worst case, I’ll have 2 but we’ll find out soon enough.
I can’t believe what I asked for came true with bison and juri teaming. I hope they are good. This game looks heavy on footsies and juries crap walk speed worries me but it’s way too early to tell.
