Shit. Pacifist you give some incredible replies.

And Saki, LOL. I know what I’m doing tonight. I’ve been looking for interesting troll ideas and this one actually sounds like fun. I’m curious if it’d be possible to build a semi-tanky alpha strike Yi. I’m hoping to face a Trynd tonight, if so I’ll alpha in, run off, alpha, exhaust, dance, maybe sit around and channel for and dance, lather, rinse, repeat.

Oh man, all I need now is to convince my buddy to use his troll taric and I’ll be having a helluva good night.

AD yi is better and can be used as a backup plan. Even if your team is somewhat behind in teamfights, ad yi can at least backdoor like crazy and farm up in the process while your teammates distract the other team.

I have seen ap yi be very resilient in dominion as a bottom champ but in sr he’s just too gimmicky and relies on a good team.

i dont know, at first i thought ap yi was troll, but holy shit that alpha strike does tons of damage, then that meditate? HOLY SHIT!! he can outheal a fucking tower hitting him, lmao. ap yi is no joke, you have to focus him down, or else he will rape your team.

lol well hope you have fun doing that. If you get fed enough you could taunt them while meditating under a tower and just have more trolololol.

Has anyone else been bothered by the flock of M5 build MFs running around lately?

Is there a place that explains how much elo you gain from winning a ranked game? Like how you start out winning 35 points at first but then it drops down to 17ish.

AP yii doesn’t need a baby sitter and since he has two built in steroid still outputs competent dps, additioanlly he’s AMAZING at cleaning up since alpha strike cools down if he gets a kill. It’s not just a little bit stronger either, it’s a 1 to 1 AOE ap ratio which is pretty insanely good. AP Yii can also backdoor, again two steroids and AP makes you hit towers harder.

The big thing in favor of AP yii though is a lot of people can’t deal with/aren’t ready to deal with his ridiculous lane harass and sustain, alpha strike is VERY strong and one of the safest pokes in the game if you’re smart with it, and meditate is awesome sustain. I personally have had way MORE success with AP yii than AD, I feel like AP Yii has much less potential but it’s much easier(team comp, execution, farming etc…) to reach it and do well with.

I forgot about his backdoor trolliness. That gets so annoying -_-

It varies a little bit based on the ELO differences of the two teams, but on average it’s in the 15-20 range.

Lol Soraka nerfs… really? Why even pick her anymore?

What the fuck is M5? I keep hearing people whine about the build pertaining to this, I assume, group?

I took Shyv the other day since I bought her on sale and someone was like “You copying M5?” So yeah what the fuck lol.

Yeah no I’m doing AP Yi tonight. I’ll probably completely rip off the build I use for my AP Morg and see what happens. Only I’ll probably build him with ridiculous amounts of armor. I might even be able to rival my bud’s immortal Mordekaiser…

Also, wtf Alpha has a 1:1 ratio? Where the hell have I been all this time that I didn’t notice this?

Group who did some weird things and won a tournament.

Moscow 5, a Russian team who won IEM. They had a Shyv who did real well.

Makes sense, I hardly follow the competitive scene for this game, I catch tournaments sometimes though.

AP Yi build I’ve been running: AP boots, Spirit Visage, Lichbane, Deathcap, Deathfire Grasp, and either Hextech Gunblade if I’m not fearing death/burst, Abyssal Scepter if they AP it up (I see a lot of Ziggs bot with another AP mid with Moakai jungle lately), or a Banshee’s for defense.

I don’t know I usually don’t watch Co-op vs AI games.

U Mad bro?

<_< dammit. I had a sizeable post written when I realized it was time to clock out of work for the night and I closed chrome.

Anyways, that’s a really interesting build for Yi but I’m doubting spirit visage. I’m thinking, situationally, something like Force of Nature (especially against AP heavy teams) would be way better because of the higher health regen so you don’t have to rely on meditate for health.
Also, this is making me think AP Yi could really fill a hit-n-run, jungle-y monster, especially w/ the gunblade and maybe a little more spell-vamp?
Or maybe I’ve worked too much tonight. Either way, lots of LoL comin’ up tonite!

NEW AI 2 STRONK. I’M DA BEST.

I’ve been streaming some normal 5s against REAL LIFE PEOPLE. I recorded one video on own3d of my team getting owned.

Hugh Mad.

Spirit Visage helps him in a few ways: Extra health, MR early on, Cooldown Reduction (A must for spamming Q, his only good move to use in AP), and the health regen effects which gives a noticeable bump to it. I personally like Gunblade because it gives him some AD (Combined with E it helps a bit) and the active with Deathfire is kind of lulz.

So far all the good AP Yi builds I see always have Spirit Visage, Lichbane and Deathcap as a core.

Spirit Visage is an amazing item simply because of the amount of shit it boosts. Base regen, item regen, ability regen…it’s crazy. Really underrated. Wish it built into something though.

Yeah no, after trying it out I agree, Visage is actually pretty damn good. Deathcap is situational due to the price, it seems like it’s worth it to get other items in the meanwhile. Lichbane is ok, but I can’t quite justify it either. However, Gunblade and Deathfire feel natural and yeah, total lulz there. Either way, I need to keep tinkering with this, it’s so much fun.

Speaking of fun, Armor Mantheon is also ridiculously hilarious. This was mentioned some many pages ago but still. People really underestimate just how awesome he can be. Especially when Nocturne ults at you a split second before you jump, leaving him thoroughly confused and dead. ^.^

Midgame items in general are pretty underrated. The current meta calls for farming and preparing for end game. Seeing teams build and utilize comps that build midgame and push early would be pretty interesting.
