Sword of the Divine is too short. Unless you have jax already low or do massive damage it isn’t going to stop him. Unless you’re teemo with blind, exhaust, sotd and ignite you won’t kill jax 1v1 imo

Yi isn’t overpowered… takes a lot of effort to use him and he gets shut down hard by CC. I see him a lot in solo queue, must be because he is an easy champion to pick up (but hard to be good with). Outside of pubstomping, it’s hard to get anything going with him. AP or lifesteal are the builds I’ve had the most luck with, but versus any team with CC, it just doesn’t work out well.
Just tried Jax in domination. Even not knowing how to use him, did pretty well and won, even though it was a close game. Getting jumped, there isn’t really any way out of it, but any 1v1 I was wrecking shit.
The only one who I see as a challenge is basically AD Sion with 300cs, full build, 6K hp, 400AD with Baron buff, all elixirs, sword of the divine, exaust, ignite, with his R on, while all the stars allign to actually pose a problem. But at that point, I can just leap away and wait for his shit to go on CD and come back at him to rape face. But even then, I also play AD Sion… and, I was actually placed in that similar situation and Jax came out ahead.
Either way, I love it when people bring Sword of the Divine as the all end to Jax. First of all, you are giving away a super important slot for a less then mediocre item. Second, Jax can just leap away. Third, even if he stays, SotD wont do jack shit. I’ve seen it so many times before people trying to counter me with that shit, only for me to walk away unscratched from the battle. Don’t waste your money, it’s not worth it.

In Domination, it’s just a matter of time to get enough items for Jax. I was doing pretty bad in the beginning but once I got some items people started running away from me. I can definitely see Jax being more of a problem in Domination since everyone gets so much gold, you can’t really deny him what he needs.

yes there needs to be a superman skin for yi. in my last game it was alpha strike into singed AND jax AND a shit ton of minions. at level 2. then it was alpha strike into singed close to his tower. superman didnt seem to understand that singed can literally toss you around like a rag doll.

I just don’t think there is such a thing as an average ~ decent Yi. They are either really really good (really really rare) or they seemingly use their mouse like a sowing peddle…
Dominion means nothing the game isn’t balanced around it all balance talks should be set in SR only.
The only reason I play the new dominion mode is because I can earn IP fast

Correct way to Alpha Strike as a poke is when there is a minion and a champion near a minion… so you hit the champion but don’t end up right next to them. Most people who can play Yi well don’t even bother… why fuck with Yi if Nocturne is so much better?
