Have you happened to notice yet if any match-ups have changed very much for Gen?

Just finished watching, I noticed crane cr.HK was not used very much. I think it could have been used more? Especially when you were trapped in corner Guile pressure. Overall Guile just jumped-in a lot during his offensive streaks.

You know what I’ve noticed from re-watching Amiyu videos? The man sticks to HK Gekiro usage way more than crane’s c.HK.
I guess when you have confidence in your reflexes, it makes sense to always go for HK Gekiro. I don’t :smiley:

It’s weird that Amiyu never uses HK Gekiro after the target combo. Even on characters like T Hawk. Guess that’ll change now, with the hard knockdown you want to land it every chance you get.

21 Hit-Combo with 3 HP Roll usually does just less than 400 dmg and 500+ stun without Jumpin and will most likely put them in the corner, unless you want to FADC and Finish off with HK gekirou, I’m enjoying this update. Found some new Setups for EX-Divekicks ^^

Cross-up super is neat, but… can’t Cody just ultra on reaction?

^^ Or EX Zonk, or EX criminal upper, or just back dash. Of course, no one will ever do any of that when they expect to be able to block and punish it. I want to know how many tries it takes to land something crazy like that, considering it requires probably 1f timing without the help of input buffers.

It’s a tad more lenient depending on the crossup setup.
Just measure the window of frames in which the hitbox ā€œpaintsā€ over the opponent’s hurtbox and counts as a crossup. Varies with the opponent, of course. It’s prolly something like 3f, I randomly guess. And if that’s the case then you have that exact leniency with the input of Oga and super.
It’s as hard as forward throw, jab roll, safe jump crossup. Mistiming the roll by 1f will ruin it against many characters. But like you said: input buffers.

It’s all specials and supers, so… nothing good ol’ mashing (a few frames before recovering from throw/oga) won’t solve.

I’d be shocked if there’s even a 2 frame window to nail a crossup fierce super. Also, there’s no buffer window for specials/supers after a throw or wall dive, all you can do is plink/negative edge. If the setup actually requires a delay rather than the fastest possible timing, those are out the window too.

This is the safe jump that i discoverd today with RH Gekiro … it works on most of the cast specially Ryu, Ken, Akuma, cammy, evil ryu and oni and others … problem with this safe jump that some times it does NOT work in the corners so here is the setup :slight_smile:
