From the kana used it would be Lala or Lara, which is weird because the first character isn’t the same as the first for Rolento or Rose or even Lauren. Odd. :o
In portuguese it would be “Lao” “ruh”. “Lao” pronounced the same way as Kung Lao or the country Lao(s). The “r” is obviously different, and is more similar to the “tt” of “bottle”
Jeah. Her projectile seems very versatile. I can see someone throwing out an uncharged one, make the opponent want to hold back to block then just walk up n command grab them cuz the fireball fizzed out right before contact. Or throw out charged ones that can hit people out of the air and go from that into HP Elbow grab.
You aren’t trying to use the Japanese spelling to find how a Latin name is pronounced in Brazilian Portuguese, are you?
Anyways, being an existing name, you can bet that any automatic text reader knows how to pronounce it. Just go to Google Translate, for example, and ask it to read Laura in Portuguese.
Edit: I’m dumb and I just realized that you are asking how they pronounce it in the game, not how it is supposed to be. It sounds like Lara here, in the direct feed video:
She has a great design Mika has a better donkey a-- though.
Hope Capcom doesn’t pull a gotcha on us and cripple her specials by screwing up the frame advantage(unsafe) and hitbox size(low priority).
Who knows Ono and the rest of the development staff might think she’s too strong and nerf her before NA release.
So this means sean might be in(YES!) and maybe Urien(YES!) and if this game came out after sf3 then alex would be in because he won sf3.
Laura is a bit top heavy…and tall…mmm vertices…
I like that they made her projectile slow moving and stays on the screen for an extended time. Her axekick/bicycle kick seems to be as useless as seans. She seems like a fun rushdown grappler.
