I got the flu or something on December 30th, which de-railed any drinking plans I might have had. But, even if I was healthy I don’t think I would have gone out partying anyway. …I feel myself turning into an old man, and I’m not even out of my twenties yet.
yo Az. I hope you get better soon. as it happens, I’m also fighting off the sickness right now. Unfortunately, I know mine happens to be BECAUSE of drinking. basically, an old demon has come back to haunt me. as far as feeling old, don’t let it get ya down. at 34, I know I’m not…well, “OLD” old, but it still gets me when I look around and realize that some of the people I work with are half my age. still, it’s about your attitude. :tup: you’ll be cool.
@Ducky: Happy new years to you too. I haven’t heard of late, but what went down with you and the assault charge you were facing? If I have to judge from your past few posts, sounds like you beat the rap. if so, then GG to you.

Not really… I got slammed, but they swept it under the rug because of the situation.
I’m platoon sergeant now, as well… at least for the month. My battles all went to BNCOC (phase 1 or phase 2) and one is on leave, which leaves me the only NCO for this month, with a toon full of joes. Life sure is great! …a lot greater than my sarcasm, at least.

I still play Marvel, KOF '98, ST, and Project Justice from time to time. I haven’t played fighters recently though.
ah. the ol’ punishment but it’s delayed ploy. if you screw up again within a set time limit, they two-in-one your ass for extra damage. Ah well, you’ll be able to handle that I’m sure. I don’t know how, but enjoy being platoon sarge for the time being. you’ll be able to write it up on your record if nothing else.
as far as me, life is back to being the same old. I’ve got a little loot in the bank to start the year off and I’m trying to make something out of it. I’ve been sick of my job, but at least I’m not sick of (all of ) the people. as soon as I can get up to four grand, it’s time to invest in something. I need to get rich and the lotto’s random ass supers ain’t helping.

Not really - I got punishment only because the incident involved a civilian. The command actually completely backed my actions, they just had to charge me with something since a civilian was involved. The punishment was just never really done, just done on paper.
I’ve only ever watched two whole seasons of 24 (the first two). Got a few glimpses of season 3 (that’s the one with the bio-terror and microbe infection thing right?).
Last week (new year’s) I caught a 24 marathon on local TV, it was about these nuke plants threatening to meltdown. What season was that?
