Ok…but I don’t believe in luck.
…that went well.

I can do that but I don’t think you will be able to see it from your side.
But thanks anyway.:lovin:

<Cloud> That guy is a dick.
<Another Cloud> Yeah, what did we ever do?
<Cloud> Who cares?
I’m stuck in Okinawa for 2 more days since the site here is so fucking ate up and my boss won’t let me leave back to Hawaii. I can’t go back to Hawaii until everything is fixed here. I wish this site was like Tokyo, where I trucked through the shit fast as fuck… but they had competent people there, unlike the tards I’m working with now. Fucking worthless shitbags. I hate it here, there ain’t shit to do but get tattoos, and I’ve already gotten 3 tattoos in the past 6 days.
11:33pm.
I am strangely attempting to enhance my skill in rich internet application development. After seeing my previous work in Flash Development, I started to realize that I received a great rep with the faculty for nothing. It was high time Bear Ryoma stood on his own two feet…professionally.
What the hell has gotten into me?
…that went well.
Bear, I noticed you have been adding a gimmick line to your posts… not that I have anything against that, if that is what it takes to make you memorable and memorable is what you want to be… but it doesn’t look right half the time.
“…seriously.”
Guess it’s the thought
…that went well.
I’ll tell you what went well! I just folded my laundry and I’m hungry!
Watch out, this man is having a wild Saturday! Woooo!
I’m gonna go organize my bookshelf, and wash the dishes…hardcore!
Tonda’s day went well!
Holy crap! YEAAAAAAAAAH!
Guys Day In @ SRK! I’mma clean my desk, and make my portfolio site! Also, fill out some tests for this company I am look to intern at…to the MAX with 3 bars on the Advanced System!!
They pay quite well, and are big, even though my mother would hate the location. Screw that. This industry is big downtown and if I got a shot to doing it there, then oppertunities such as these are something I am not interested in wasting.
Hope you did well, Dan?!
…that went well. For Bear Ryoma is the true WELLEST!
And I just cleaned all of upstairs earlier. Well… at least that’s what I do every Saturday. _
Starcraft and term paper writing are still taking over my life.
I guess today i’ll tell you guys about some of the stuff that happens over here. Especially since this just happened today so it’s fresh in my head.
CSI: Iraq.
Check this out though, here’s what happened today. Out on a mission and we got a lot of information pertaining to alot of stuff(sorry i won’t detail anything cause it’s OPSEC man). There’s a bridge in our AO that we go under pretty much most days we got outside the wire. There’s ALWAYS action going on at that bridge. IEDs, small arms fire, RPGs, etc.
Today though shit was confusing, nobody could figure out how things really went down.
One take: As we get near the bridge, i’m sitting up in the turret and i hear a loud bang. I go, “i heard a shot”, nobody else heard it(but i mean usually certain stuff people inside the vehicle can’t hear it but the gunner can). Our interpreter in the vehicle with us says that he heard something roll off of the vehicle. Immediately: BOOM. We all hear an explosion and behind us there’s a castleback that carries soldiers in it, everyone thinks it’s an IED that hit the castleback. Those in the castleback start shooting and shit, reactionary, and people outside - civilians start running and whatnot. Don’t even know if they’re civilians or not, cause the insurgents look and dress exactly the same.
That’s the problem with Iraq, man. Your enemy blends in, you never know. They can fire a shot and then blend in with a crowd of people and you can’t do shit about it cause you can’t positive ID them.
Not to mention DUST is all in the air and shit, it’s was like a giant smokescreen out there today.
So the story here is that simply, an IED went off and hit the castleback and we just rolled right through it. However, the “IED” was just wierd cause it didn’t uplift the ground or cause an impact in it. It was just a flat out explosion.
I HEARD SHIT HIT OUR VEHICLE. But there’s no proof of it, cause there’s no bullet holes or anything like that. But then my team leader has another theory on this.
Another take on it: The loud sound i heard hit the vehicle was infact a GRENADE being thrown at the truck. This would explain why i heard the bang and no one else did. This would also explain how our terp heard the sound of something rolling off of our truck. This also gives a great reason why this “IED” didn’t uplift from the ground or leave a crater.
So this other version is that someone tried to throw a grenade at me in the turret and missed me, it rolled off of our truck and landed on the ground. Blowing up right by the castleback.
That’s it. I don’t even know if what i typed out is clear at all, but whatever though.
What i gotta say about stuff like this, cause things like this happen all the time over here:
When it happens, it happens. It goes so fast, that you dont’ have time to be scared and you dont have time to panic.
You just react.
Talk about me while my crappy computer crashes will you?!?!?!?!?!?!
*unleashes a hella lot of Zerglings with jetpacks to swarm over the clouds.
Zergling1: why are we eating these clouds again?
Zergling2: the boss is in a bad mood.
Zergling1: yeah, I get that part, but why didn’t he just send the mutalisks up here?
They fly already.
Zergling3: they’re out shooting at the incoming fighter jets.
Zergling1: Oh. Good plan. **continues eating the clouds like all the rest. *

Meh.

Gooooood, gooooood.
At least you made it ok and get to tick another day off the calendar, one day closer to riding the freedom bird home, and taking block leave. Who cares what the fuck it was as long as no one got hurt (well, no Americans, I could give a fuck less about hajis).
Yeah. We were talking about it though, cause as usual, we weren’t specifically written on the SIGACT. Even when shit happens directly to us. We’re just described as a truck or vehicle. The higher ups who we support over here must really have something against us. We should have atleast 3, more than CAB worthy instances.
One thing that we’re all mad about though, when we get back to the states, we’re only getting 18 days block leave. Where as, the last cycle through got 30 days leave and we’ve been over longer than they have and still not finished. No balance whatsoever.
18 days? WTF? You’re staying out there a year, right? Every unit that has come back that I know of takes 30 after 365…
9 months.
Should atleast be 24 days, i think.
Last cycle was here 6 MONTHS. They got 30 days.
I thought that 30 days was just the required thing, if you atleast got a hash mark.
