Well…he asked me about taking on a book he was writing as a student technical writer, I said “…ok”. Then, I spoke to his friend(the guy who introduced me to him). The book he wanted to produce had a language that wasn’t perfected or marketable as of yet(well at least to some degree), so his friend advised me to be wary and ask for financial compensation since the project was going to be time comsuming due to the countless revisions in store.
So I thought, “maybe I should ask for this ‘compensation’,”. I got online with him last night and popped the question. He stated that the reward was just the reference and blew me off.
So, to cut things short, I fucked up big time.

A question to tondashocka: yo man, so alot of the navy guys around here they seem to be wearing ACUs. Are all seamen wearing these now even in garrison too? I would’ve thought that atleast by the time everyone went to digital uniforms the navy would atleast have their’s looking more like the marine’s, and the airforce more like the army.
I haven’t been in here in awhile either. I don’t post as much as I used to, but I wouldn’t even pretend to say anything like “I’m giving up SRK”. I’ll probably be here until Wiz finally destroys GD in a fit of rage.

Vacation has been mostly online Starcraft and A3 for me. The summer term over here starts next week. ^^;

I’ll be at Camp Zama for about 9 days then heading to Okinawa for the rest. I leave this Friday so I’ll PM you before I go. Hopefully we can meet up. I get there Saturday afternoon and look forward to spending Sunday shopping and whatnot.
Camp Zama and Okinawa I remember. I was only there for 2-3 days at a pop, and I always had duty on one of those days, so I didn’t get to see it too good. Still, that okinawa AF/BX was top tier. you’ll like that much if nothing else. I didn’t much get out into town because nobody else wanted to go. Stupid buddy rule.
the only extra good news I have for tonight is that I’m finally starting to see the rainbow light at the end of the shadowy darkness that was my addiction to alcohol. it took a week straight, but I’m finally able to stand up without using a sword for a crutch. I’m still grouchy as hell, but I’m able to stand up. Well guys, it’s official. I’m doing it. and I didn’t have to go to any AA meetings. :encore:

well ladies and gents, you know who is here.
I finally found out what was wrong with this kids bike over here. she has pretty much bee having me fill up the tire every day this week. Finally, I realized something had to be busted in it, and I found out what. Her parents just plain suck. they stuffed an oversized inner tube into the tire and now the damn thing doesn’t work right. lousy as hell if you ask me.
I told her what was up and how to correct it. she’s about 8 years old, so the whole thing probably went right over her head. still, if she gets the right stuff, I’ll be able to hook it up in a few seconds.
