o yea i got in a fight almost 2 days ago. I faired decent (especially on 3 xanax bars). The only thing I’m showing from the other guy is a barely visible black eye (hey… i’ve had worse!) and some scratches on my neck. I would have been fine; I was on top of him hitting him in the face and his homeboy ran and kicked me in the face, as hard as he could; he was about 4 years older than me. I had no friends there to back me up (well 1, but he’s no fighter), so after that kick it was over. I thought that it broke my jaw, but I didn’t want to go to the hospital because i’d have to report it to the Navy as well. I was cool with the guy i fought, but not with his buddy blindsiding me. THey are out of town now, in Oregon I think, and my buddy told me the guy I fought was spitting up a good bit of blood… pfft fuck figthing.:bluu:
I dunno if Aizen, or Ducky is reading this, then I’ll be at HBB tonight! It’s so weird that only like 6 people are in this forum right now. I wonder if the general public knows how to get here from the main page…:lol:

What the hell was up with tonight, Shannon? I just picked up Hugo today and I was fucking everyone up. Next characters on my list to learn - Oro and Alex. Didn’t play as solid in CVS2 as I wanted. Had fun though. Going to FF tomorrow. Hit up the cell if you’re gonna be at the mall in the afternoon.
To hell with GGXX. I know you said only five people here play it, and if I played I’d automatically be top five, but the truth is, is that I’m so scrubby, I’d still find some way to end up in 20th place. CvS2, and Marvel suit me just fine. God knows I’m not even that good at those, so just imagine how shitty I’d be if I divide my concentration even more trying to learn another game.

The following is a post of venting, cause I need to and I don’t have many outlets at the moment. Feel free to skip if so desired. You have been warned.
Girlfriend leaves August 20th for America. Sucks, but at least I have until then to spend time with her. Or so I thought.
She has a medical history…had an ovarian tumor that had to be removed Jan 2003. It was taken out no problem, but she was still succeptible to further growths.
Fast foward to…I dunno, maybe Feb-Mar 2004. She occasionally complains about stomach pain. I’m concerned, and I tell her she ought to go to the doctor (in the back of my head, I’m thinking “what if it’s another tumor?”). She tells me she’s fine, she knows her body, don’t interfere. But I also know she can be really lazy about this, and she doesn’t want to go and hear bad news so she just doesn’t go. But maybe I want to believe everything’s fine too, so I listen to her instead of putting my foot down and making her go to the doctor.
Fast foward again to last Friday. Since she’s going to America, she HAS to get a checkup before she leaves. I go with her, and she’s taking an extraordinarily long time…women who went in after her are leaving before her. So I know something’s wrong.
She’s got another ovarian tumor. On the other side this time. It’s not that big, and not cancerous, but it’s a lot bigger than it should have been because she didn’t go to the doctor. She’s gonna have to have surgery to get it removed. That’s gonna put her out of commission for a good chunk of the time she has left here…so now the time we have left is reduced by at least half. We were also planning to go on a trip somewhere, and that’s cancelled as well.
So she tells her parents, and they’re upset with her for not having gone to the doctor sooner. They also feel like she’s been lazy, and hasn’t been taking care of her responsibilities in order to see me and go out with her friends. Which is kind of true. I think her mother’s also jealous because she spends more time at my place than she does at home. Her mother’s really upset with her, and tells her that she’s not going to tell anybody about her surgery, and to tell me not to visit her in the hospital. The mother is only going to visit her to bring her new clothes. So all the time my girlfriend is gonna be in the hospital, she’s gotta be by herself.
Fuckin Japanese attitudes, I swear. Yeah, she should have taken more responsibility, but she knows that now. Do you really have to kick her when she’s down? But no, the Japanese want to go off on power trips so bad, but they have recessive personalities so they can only kick people when they’re already down. Fuckin-a, I hate it.
She calls me crying today cause her mother chewed her out and won’t let her see me anymore and is making her do this surgery by herself. She feels like it’s all her fault, and while yeah, some of it is her responsibility, all of this AND surgery, by herself, is a bit much for her to take. I told her to come down here anyway, and we watched a movie and had a really expensive dinner that I paid for, then she went back home because she has to. I can see her tomorrow, but then she has to spend the rest of the time at home. She goes into surgery on Thursday, will spend a few days in the hospital, a few more days of recovery, then maybe I can see her the weekend before she leaves.
So now instead of our last days together being fun and going off to our favorite date places and trips and whatever, I gotta be strong for her while her family kicks her while she’s down and she has to get another tumor removed.
It’s just all fucked up.
As far as the weed, no. Do not tell. If you’re not leaving until Nov 16th, it will be out of your system long before then. I hear that the average time that it stays in your system is about 1 week, but I’d lay off all drugs at least 3 weeks before going in. I know that’s really paranoid, but that’s me. They don’t do Lie Detection, only the urinalysis tests and blood tests. After 3 weeks, they won’t pick up anything in your system.
The main reason you shouldn’t tell is because even though you won’t get kicked out, they might still add the shit to your military record. The only reason they can’t kick you out at DEP is because you haven’t signed any legal documents yet. Officially, you’re not part of the Military until you get to boot camp. If you decide on the last day before leaving for boot camp that you don’t want to go, you don’t have to. They’ll lie and bully and pressure you and try to make you feel guilty, but in the end you don’t have to go and they know it. If you have anymore questions, Post them here and I’ll try to answer them for you.

Damn man. I wish I could offer you some sort of help with that. I remember a friend of mine going through similar problems because he was American. His gf naturally, was Japanese. It wasn’t as extreme as the problems you’re having, mostly between her family not liking him and he not liking them, but this post reminds me of it. It sounds like the doctors caught the tumor early which is a good thing. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’d sneak into the hospital if I were you. I’m sure that the doctors aren’t going to mind much and if her parents are serious about her being alone, it doesn’t sound like they’ll be there to stop you hint hint. Since I only talked to the people I saw at parties and on the street, I never really got to see this side of the Japanese. That and the Japanese friends I had were a blessing. I don’t think I could be sad around them. I hope that your luck improves soon.

That sucks, Az. You’re right it isn’t totally her fault, but doing shit like that, especially on some shit like this, it can be extremely detremental to your health you know? Procrastination on a tumor… nah, that shouldn’t be done. I understand why you’re upset, but I can also understand the parents perspective even though she’s a grown ass woman. Chances are she’s been doing this kind of thing long before you met her. Maybe this will re-enforce the idea that her health is really important and that you can’t take chances with it. Yeah, they’re treating her like she’s 12, and she’s grown, but maybe she can get something positive out of the whole thing.
But what do I know? Anyway, I hope you guys get to spend some more time with each other and that her folks let up.
When did you get drug tested in DEP after MEPS? Cuz if it’s not until the day before i leave for boot camp, i shouldn’t be worried about it now right?

that’s the thing. I didn’t get drug-tested in DEP. Of course, this was over 10 years ago, so things may have changed since then. As far as I can tell, they can’t legally do anything to you in DEP since the only thing you’ve done is said that you have a interest in joining the military. I’ve seen plenty of guys just not come back after a DEP meeting and there isn’t a single thing the Navy or any other branch can say or do about it.
I know for certain they’ll test you before you leave for boot camp. that’s the only way they’ll catch anyone since the two weeks after you get there are usually used for getting everyone situated. and no, right now you don’t have a damn thing to worry about. Even if by some strange chance they should ask you to take a piss test in DEP, you can say no. If they try to give you any BS about it being neccesary,
1: It’s BS. Most likely they won’t pull that stunt because it will scare people away. It’s career suicide for a recruiter to scare away potential recruits.
2: you can walk out the door if you want. basically, there really is no worry.
