Last time you were on a losing streak and did you rage or not?

problem with ranked is that it’s just one match. If your opponent manages to surprise you in some way/weird unconventional tactic/lag/whatever it can be over and there is not much room to adapt. Whereas in endless you can just play FT10 and it’s a lot more fun and you learn a lot more.

Also yes I rage a lot, playing Viper online can be very frustrating especially when things don’t come out even though I’m 100% accurate and it always works offline. ><

A month ago I would have agreed with you on the endless thing, but now I feel that ranked, despite really meaning little more than any other way of playing, is actually better competition than endless.

If you’re playing ranked, you’re in it for the points in the first place, and you really don’t wanna lose. You’re trying your hardest and so are they, otherwise you wouldn’t be playing ranked in the first place. If I lose 4 or 5 in a row the rage will set in forcing me to either concentrate more and change my play or take a break. If I lose 10 in endless I can do that while having fun and not learning as much.

That’s for me atm anyway. Maybe it’s that I hate to rage so I learn to counter things quicker when they annoy the shit outta me, but for whatever reason, ranked motivates me more and brings out both the worst and the best in me. To each their own.

i was so mad that i unistalled the game.
guess 600 matches in two weeks was too much.
week later i am back and playing better than i ever could.

sometimes u just need some rest

I’m learning Tekken 6 and I’ve been playing with my friend who mainly plays Tekken. He kept beating me for the past week, switching characters and singing when he was winning, but when I won a round he would say “Oh my gawd”. I would eventually get really mad, and he would say “Woah bro calm down it’s just a game”. My record in tekken was 16 W - 40 L.

I then started to win more than lose because I practiced more than him and learned one character instead of just doing different characters BNB’s. This makes him start to curse and rage just like I was when I was losing. What happened to “Calm down jeez its just a game”? People who say that they don’t get rage when they lose a lot are liars or play really nooby people.

You need to keep in mind that it’s just video game. Too many people often forget that.

It’s not like you blew multiple deals in a row at work, or lost multiple matches in a row as a professional fighter.

Even if it was a life-affecting event, rage quitting essentially means that you snapped and can’t handle the consequences.

You need to find people that play offline or make friends with players that are good and have a good connection. This game gets frustrating as hell when the other player does an SRK FADC and spams throw (the worse the connection the more you spam it). If there is a hint of lag that shit will work everytime. I do it to people too. This is probably with they are using GGPO for third strike. In SSFIV certain links are affected in 3s parrying would become useless.

I think people need to realize that sports are also a game and that competition, no matter in what, can always bring out the worst in human beings. “It’s just a game”, always falls flat on it’s face eventually if you give a royal beating enough time.

It’s been awhile since I got into a losing streak, but it depends on how I lost I might rage. Not that I care what the other person has to think or say but the overall outcome that I may switch to a different character.
