especially now in Omega cl.hk/c.mp/ hella damage is available now since he sticks sooooo close to them now… we can average 8 hit combos without jump in now…I think that’s pretty good

some of my findings in Omega;

ok so cl.hk>sweep…hits straight up…thought I found it in the corner first…but nope…it works…so now we have a great confirm from lights to knockdown game but now, no wake up pressure …wtf??? you almost are on to something here CAPCUNTs cmon!

dj.hk>cl.mp>cl.hk>sweep also works

cl.mp>cl.hk>lp>sweep also works

cl.mp>cl.hk>cr.lp>extatsu and lesser tatsus

I think this was mentioned but mpalm>u1 works on Gouken sized characters for about 414dmg but you have to try using the "hold forward " technique right after the palm

the cl.mp>cl.hk technique listed above in the earlier posts will ensure this works across the entire cast, although off top its pretty reliable itself (clmp>cl.hk, or cl.mp>hold forward (but let go before activiating the donkey kick)>cl.hk) the tricky part now is letting go in time since we have command normal at either side of this which is a bummer and make it kinda difficult…

I thinking…do we really need the donkey kick? I say it goes bye bye…

i’m playing around with the donkey kick and it’s pretty interesting.

im still finding stuff, but i realized it hits after everything in the air:

I think you might also be able to use it for footsies.

im feeling it just not on my HK BUTTON! SOB! im bugged by it ! I want to say I like him too real bad…I mean hes real powerful but whoa …why not just take away sweep altogether give us a slide and teleport …fuck ill keep playing him after that lol!

I hadn’t even looked into it yet , I thought they were quick rising all knockdowns(omega)>? and you using OMGouken or USF GOUKEN?

I’m still using Ultra Gouken. I’m too invested in abusing the knock down game.

Id probably use Omega Gouken if the quick rise didn’t screw him.

I think he’s pretty solid if you like to zone and play neutral though.

oh ok , good. I was like he found a vortex in omega lol…

Ultra here too, he moves more fluidly for me , controllable IAT and kara hado game , and knock down game of course, omega doesn’t feel like home in the least.

Omega feels half assed half the characters got buffs that let them compete against each the rest got retooled into something entirely different and don’t think they actually finished those characters. Just so unpolished. Wish you could do edition select with out omega.

Omega mode was just beta for things that people have asked for in recent requests… You’ll see some things from Omega carry over to the new patch etc. Some might not be as drastic though…

PS4 is set to get USF4 so we can expect the next balance update to be around that time.

I don’t buy into the “just for fun” model for Omega mode as Capcom is in business to make money. So either Omega Mode was a beta for new mechanics in SF5 or a beta for balance changes that could be made to the cast… or possibly both.

I don’t find it strange that Omega mode has all the changes that we kinda asked for, but it used old models for most characters.

It’s hard to believe Capcom would just spend money and use resources on Omega Mode without any benefit to them.

With SF5 only being a PS4/PC exclusive, you can bet your nuts that there will be 1 or 2 final grabs for our Xbox money with supporting this game per paid DLC and new costumes etc.

Omega was left unfinished so the community could actually beg for updates and they could deliver it to us. It was a Jedi Mind Trick… well at least for most folk.

Expect a release between (April, May, June) Q2… before EVO.

Why not ex kongo? Because you want super? Seems like the inputs would be pretty complicated.

actually super overrides the the ultras, I just wanted to show what comes out …available with all except omega versions so far to my knowledge…

I used df,d,db> half circle fwd or backwards> ending with kongo cancel ultra ( the one where kongo shortcut is used), that’s the general idea.

but the cool shit happens when you start buffering focus dashes plinked w option selects as he starts dashing forward or backward…

funny thing is there is soo many commands stuffed into that input delay window, that if he gets poked w a counter hit during , he responds with counter hits via ex palm or kongo or kongo cancel ultras. the vids on my channel showing this , displayed the results of different triggering.

Im trying to figure out how to use W ultra ,so that say on the forward dash he can os to kongo cancel u1 , and maybe on backdash he can focus backdash>kongo cancel ultra 2…

It’s worth trying after a level 1/2 fadc forward.

Makes for a Ken like Kara throw and Kara focus, starts up way faster than his old Kara, drawback tho is he has no Kara hado game in omega because of that over prioritized stomp which is lamely mapped to all kicks. That was dumb combofiend , one move 3buttons all same strength etc…keep it on mk and lk only and free up hk so we can Kara once again

Iirc we can go with Cr.mp xx ex tatsu as well to finish that combo off?
