i’m torn about this kind of stuff because people often start discussing / bitching about those numbers in strange,illogical ways
a 300 ms online match vs your friend in bolivia (who mains a jungle urien/gouki/ken/whatever) won’t change after looking at the diagram
the diagram won’t justify / exacerbate losses or wins
just his (very respectable) opinion about offline 3s at the highest level / maximum knowledge

people who don’t use yun always assume alex,hugo or elena are free wins
they aren’t - some of those characters (including ibuki) are very annoying to fight
it would be pretty great to hear his in-depth explanations…

Ken-Mak 7-3 I agree. I hate that match as Makoto.
I don’t feel that Chun 7-3’s anyone in the top 8 except Gouki and Urien.
Mak-Q 6-4?? seems crazy!
I agree with all his Ken matches. I’ve felt for a while that Ken beats Yun!
Kuroda is trolling you guys. That or the fact he’s viewing the matchup based on his own master vision when you’re on his level of perspective and capability.
The matchup chart makes a lot of sense. I’ve always said mak q isn’t that bad.
Btw elena is so fucking boring. I seriously fell asleep watching that video. I’m very glad she isn’t that popular.

What the fuck is up with that chart with regards to Elena…
No seriously, look. She’s (apparently) 5:5 with Yun, Yang, Makoto, Dudley and Gouki. No way she’s level with those characters, but that’s all I can say about that - I only have a feeling for it. On the other hand, Kuroda claims she’s 5:5 with Q, whereas I think she has an advantage.
I wish I could break down the match-up, but I only know it through experience in very scrubby matches between me and my brother about a year or so ago (don’t play Q anymore). Basically, if Q can knock her down and she ends up like a 1/2 of the screen away, there’s very little Elena can do to dissuade him getting taunts in (unlike Chun/Ken Super, Dudley EX MGB, etc). However Elena has far better normals (this is really important) and thanks to Q’s large frame she gets better damage off of him than other characters, although most of the extra combos she can do are pretty esoteric. No, but really, this is like the only match Elena has where she can say she has better normals than the other character. I wouldn’t say it’s a 5:5 matchup at all.
BTW I’m sorry Fran3S for confirming that posting a match-up chart on a 3S discussion area causes people to “start discussing / bitching about those numbers in strange,illogical ways” but seriously those numbers are FUCKED UP.

As usual with Kuroda as a source some things sound weird/unpopular… but others, I agree and I’ve always thought that.
Like I’ve said for years (and being taken for crazy) that Urien-Hugo is not free at all and actually Hugo can fight Urien almost evenly… well now Kuroda is backing me up 
How does Urien have an advantage on Makoto however just escapes my mind :disagree:

Oro top tier? well… with all the current SA2 tech I believe it
People, MU charts change throughout time and can not be compared with ones established 10 years ago (or so)…Players thoughts about MU (at least at high level) change all the time simply because of some players are taking low/middle tiers to the top (examples randomly crossing my mind are YSB/Hugo and Fugu/Oro). However, pretty all he is saying matches with the current high level scene, except for Necro IMO (over-rated, mostly because I can’t quote any Necro high-level player active today).
That being said, I really don’t understand why frans and ryan consider Elena as boring and uninteresting. May be Kuroda’s Elena is “special” to watch (he is playing Healing guys, that changes everything in the MU and the way you need to play), but watching Orona or Teppei is completely something else, you should take a look, probably you’ll change your mind.
I wouldn’t miss Elena if they removed her from the game
