Oro can combo Dudley after an air throw? Is that EXSA3 only? I know Ryu can do Shinsho, but everyone knows that. (and yet it’s never happened to me in a real match, and I main Dudley)
I’m assuming he can only do that from that one specific situation, which most likely never happens. Anyway to get back on track to what this thread is supposed to be about, I’m looking forward to his next match set against Yuuki especially since finding out which character he’s going to use.
I was watching that Kuroda’s Elena, maybe her best super art is healing after all… He just uses her bnb “cr.mp xx ex spin, lk scratch wheel” and it does almost same damages than cr.mp xx sa2.
EX Spin Scythe whiffs against certain crouching characters, while cr.MP->SA2 can hit almost everyone crouching but Chun from a distance I think. Healing’s good against some characters when she has a natural advantage, otherwise Brave Dance gives her much better guaranteed damage.
Against Chun, i agree about SA2 being the best choice because of the Spin’s whiff.
But overall, you can do damage comparable to SA2 by using ex combos and even better damage. The only downside is that ex sping will whiff on certain characters at max range. Her SA2 can be so hard to land, i mean her only real hit confirm is cr.MP and it’s so predictable. Why bother with this when you have an original SA and it really matches her gamestyle, defensive and footsies stuff.
You have a free SA3 after a throw i assume or a target combo (stand medium kick > cr.HP) for example.
Maybe i’m wrong but it feels better for me with SA3.
Healing bar is hella long, and you need ex to get decent damages and a reversal.
Also, even if her cr.mp is not Ken’s cr.mk, it sill works decently afaict, it’s your job to make it less predictable.
Btw, iirc, it’s wrong to say ‘free SA3’ as you’ll be punished for it with the vast majority of the cast, except against Hugo and maybe one or two others (depending on their bar most of the time).
Not to mention, it makes her even more boring to play against…
If everything Kuroda shows was easily applicable for regular humans, 3s will be filled with a lot more Q/Hugo.
When I asked why Kuroda said a boxer wouldn’t use a move like that, and he’s even talked to the creator to complain about the design of the move lol.
Curious to go back to see if he use to use that move or not. Regardless, he seemed genuine about it so I don’t think it was a troll fugo.
Also knowing the nature of SRK I know I’m gonna get guff for my play. I am aware im not that sick, didn’t know all optimal punishes, dropped combos, and made bad decisions.
To the haters, please go to Japan and show us your play instead of infront of your desk online. ️
Well I would have been upset about that, but Kuroda is weird… if you say so then I concede it could be really one of his quirks
I think you played pretty well! You won some games pretty convincingly, and that’s expecially good when rounds are set to ft3. Don’t mind the haters who never put themselves on the line! You know they’d get triple perfected by Kuroda without kanipan, dart shot and SA2
What did you feel was the hardest part about fighting Kuroda?
