[KS2 Productions] NORCAL REGIONALS 2009 11/21 - 11/22

Wow:lol:

You seen all of his videos(AfroLegends)and thats all you come up with:nono:Based of this post we KNOW you dont have a system(ps3/360):wtf:You would of been better off saying AFROLEGENDS is GDLK in HDR is he JESUS half-brother, cause he looks that much sicker :razzy:

NEW SRK policy when an 09er post we will not HONOR it until they have been second by a premier member.

In reference to the 3 punches and 3 kicks mapping concern, most rog players map it on to GGPO ST not HDR, and I know this American Ninja guy plays on GGPO, so its quite possible that he is used to vanilla ST GGPO were rog players abuse the map tap and I doubt he even plays HDR ps3.

HAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!

American Ninja is your twin brother, Jared.

Yeah, we know.

For your information, I don’t map buttons and I never have. I hold down all 3 punches or kicks for my taps. Ask Valle, or anyone who has played me in person…

HAHAHAHAHAAA!!!,

no he is not, Jarrod doesnt even play anymore. American Ninja is a jerk from GGPO, and is making some retarted posts here.

i got $ on CHOIBOY saying that he’ll 10-0:looney::wink:

The NCR website has been updated with notable names that will be attending and the SF4 Norcal vs Socal exhibition. We’ll be updating the page again as we confirm additional information regarding players and sponsorships.

http://www.norcalregionals.com/

A SF4 5on5 Norcal vs. Socal team exhibition has been added! The format will be the same with the EVO team exhibition. Each team blinds picks the entire order of their players then plays off. Loser is out and the winner goes to back of the line. A team wins when they eliminate all players from the opposing side. No duplicate characters on a team so 1 team can not have 2 Sagat players. Players must stick with their character throughout the duration of the exhibition.

Alex Valle will be the Socal captain and he will choose a team at his discretion. I will be responsible for the Norcal team. I’ve decided to hand pick 1 spot and hold qualifiers for 4 spots. The 1st spot is automatically awarded to Ricky Ortiz. Aside from placing top 8 at EVO, Ricky has dominated the Norcal SF4 tournament scene and has taken 1st place in almost every event he has entered. As such he is awarded the auto spot. Ricky has decided to use Chun Li for the event so no more Chun Li players are allowed in the qualifier.

The qualifiers will be held 8PM on Friday night 11/20 at the NCR venue.

The quals will be 4 single elimination tournaments held back to back. The participants are restricted to Norcal players only, meaning you must have your residence in Norcal. All 4 tournaments will be single elimination, 2of3 game sets. 1st place from each tournament is on the Norcal team, locks in their character choice, and wins the entry fee back. The remaining money from the pot will go towards the singles SF4 prize pot.

1st Qualifier - $20 entry fee. Winner wins $20
2nd Qualifier - $5 fee. Win $25
3rd Qualifier - $5 fee. Win $30
4th Qualifier - $5 fee. Win $35

Note that you must join the 1st qualifier in order to enter the 2nd qualifier and so forth. So this means if you want to play in the 4th qualifier, you must have paid and participated in the previous 3 qualifiers. This rule is in effect so that players can not just sit out the first few qualifiers until the good players qualify then try their luck in the final event. Note that Chun Li is not allowed for the qualifier due to Ricky Ortiz locking her in. Once a qualifier concludes and the next character is locked in by the winner, that character will also be banned from the next qualifier. The brackets will be redrawn randomly after each qualifier concludes.

Due to short notice and limited time, this event is single elim, has high entry fee, and no prize (winner simply breaks even) for the winner to deter random people from trying out for fun/prize money and taking up resources.

Good luck everyone!

Note that if less than 10 players try out for the team, this may be turned into just 1 round robin event

200 yen for sagat and masarap for ryu. BET IT!

And Eric Choi for Rufus!
But in all seriousness, I think John Choi is gonna take the spot for Ryu.

Possible qualifiers, I think -
Ryu: John Choi, Masarap
Boxer: illiterate, Crackfiend
Dhalsim: FilipinoChamp
Sagat: 200 yen, Eric Choi
Rufus: Eric Choi (if not using Sagat)

Hello, I will be coming to this for sure. Is anyone willing to money match me for $5000? Thanks in advance. I know there was this one guy who said I’d have to money match for hella money if you guys paid me to come out there, but I’m coming on my own terms. Please have cash ready as my sponsor will have his cash ready. Anything up to $30,000 is fine.
