I want chris hu and that japanese comentator that drinks redbull or does crack. whatever he does he is the definition of hype.
Choi …There needs to be a ban on mapping for HD Remix. Mapping is abusable with Rog players being able to do rapid turn punches too easily (Afro and others following his tactics being able to one after another taking too much damage is bs ) and that move is hard to counter as it is. As traditional arcade ST tourneys you should have to hold down all punches or kicks for all fairness. :annoy:
Choi …Please BAN all “3 kicks and all 3 punches on one button MAPPING” for SSF2T HD remix tourney. Rog players like afro are able to abuse the turn punches rapidly one after another by having the tap on easy one button and Rog is OVERPOWERED as it is.
I wonder if whyt mike a.k.a. Makoto Mike is going there… well i hope so.
I’m not familiar with what you are talking about. Can you provide exact exampls of what button gets mapped with what buttons and the resulting consequence?
I think he is saying… one button being mapped to all 3 punches or all 3 kicks.
however, I dont think you can map punch x 3 or Kick x 3 in HDR on ps3. Correct me if i’m wrong.
You can’t map 3P or 3K in HDR on PS3, and I don’t think you can on 360 either.
Im thinking of coming… Just one thing though… John, PLEEEASE make that who ever is donating their PS3 clears their hard drive cache. I know, it sounds like a weird request, but I lost my first match at Evo this year on SF4 because of a HUGE slowdown (which never really happens at all on the 360 version) that happened when Bison was doing his swan dive. It was almost like the Matrix camera rotation slowdown, with the exception that nothing was buffering in and there was nothing cool about it. Reformatting the HD and having the game installed on the Hard Drive helps out a lot.Just a thought so no one would have to go through that again. Hopefully, catch you guys at NCR.
Oh yeah… you cannot map x3 on HDR for either console. The only moves that I can think of that use it are Rogs punches, Gief’s lariat and Akumas teleport (isn’t he banned?), but I think it’s pretty easy to use them without the use of such a button anyways. Just my thoughts.
While playing SFIV, I’ve experienced lag on both PS3s and 360s. I’ve played on PS3s a lot more than 360s, but it seems like they are both equally susceptible to that lag you just mentioned - I’ve only had it happen to me maybe four or five times total between both consoles.
I’ve never ever had it lag on my own personal PS3, but if there were a way I could clog up the cache on it and test it, I would out of sheer curiosity and report back.
If HDR is like HF on XBLA, you can’t utilize any normals while 3X is being pushed down, even when mapped to one button. Meaning, you can have 3X Kicks mapped to right bumper, while holding right bumper you still can’t use short, forward or roundhouse independently until you let go of right bumper.
If you mean being able to rapidly let go of the tap, then re-hold the tap and let go again for a one-level tap over and over again…you can already do that with 6 buttons. You just need to let go of one of the 3 buttons being held down for it to come out, then re-hold said button, then release again, repeat. IIRC, this worked in CPS2 ST as well and definitely worked in CPS1 HF.
Unless you’re talking about something else…?
In regards to filling up the cache or fragmenting the hard drive, what you could do is save a game with multiple save games (Like devil may cry) and keep saving like 100 times, delete a couple of saves, install SF4, then delete some more saves. It should be able to do that (I just tried it on my 360 and it slows down, but not like how it was at Evo, but it still is noticable).
Can’t promise anything. I have some major work coming up for that weekend, but hopefully I can get the time off. Who knows… maybe I’ll bring some drink with me too. Then we can play drunk sf4 or cvs2.
I am telling you bro mapping all 3 kicks and punches can make tap abusable. Trust me it takes more effort and execution to hold down all 3 kicks with the palm of your hand then it does with one button. Thats what makes Afro Legends rog seem better than Tamashima’s Rog in Japan because he can map the turn punches and in addition he buffers off of a low strong into it after one and the let alone the TAP is very hard to counter when your stuck in the corner with guile, and it leaves him with perfect recovery, does too much damage, and fills up meter and ST players like myself can agree that Rog has the most bs damaging and invincible super in the game that you can lose 50% or more for throwing out a fireball or whiffed jab or low forward which is a stratigic move from 3/4 screen away (thats bs and Sirlin didn’t nerf him enough).
Ban all 3 kicks and all 3 punches mapping on one button. Consequence? You should know the consequence after losing to this problem against Afro in West coast warzone lol…Smoked! So please dont act ignorant.
In ST new Rog is the OVERPOWERED character of ST (especially when Tamashima’s of Japan Rog tactics are involved and still in HDR since Sirlin didn’t nerf him or his super enough…thanks sirlin. and some one being able to easily do one tap after another which can then lead to mix ups (you have to watch out for that invincible head butt that has good recovery if you try to retaliate after blocking or getting hit by the TAP or you get grabbed or low strong to turn punch again after hit or blocked which are nearly unpunishable and Rog fills up his bs super quick etc. and if you are in the corner and doing all of this=Game over against most characters.
Rogs Tap puts rog at too good of a frame advantage, does too much damage, and most of all is very difficult to counter up close with most characters. It is for all fairness that Rog players should have to put in more work of execution like the arcade tradition of holding down all 3 kicks with the palm of their hand. If I have to get 10 votes to get this to happen then no problem, but hopefully I shouldn’t.

You can’t map more than one button to any given input besides “Unassigned”. Problem solved.
I don’t think you can map 1 button to all three punches or all three kicks. If I remember correctly, you map a normal to a button (As opposed to in 3S where you map a button to a move or combination of moves). That said when you try to map one button to multiple normals (like mapping O on a PS3 or A on a X360 strong to both jab and strong) it just remaps O or A to whatever normal you were mapping last. The best you can do is map multiple buttons to the same normal (all facebuttons = jab).
Alright bro …I will take your word for it.
Hey man, don’t be insulting Choiboy, He’s asking you a valid question. You keep this shit up and you won’t be allowed at the tournament.
You did not earn a trophy.
Also American Ninja has to be a troll post. Obviously nobody who actually plays HDR thinks you can map a 3p an 3k button.
???.. ???
You have (or at least) play this game… and never checked the button config before posting!!!11!!111111111111
