hey laugh, anderk it was fun even though laugh mopped the floor with us. thanks for coming out though laugh. i know its a pain in the butt to come all the way out here when you live out in ilsan.

i feel like im playing too many scrubs online and not enough high level players to really improve my play. anyway, anderk, is it cool with you if i come by wednesday night to pick up my controller? maybe around 9:30? i got class until 9.

yea ggs guys
alvin ill be home so just give me a call before you get here

Ok, so I just booked my flight. I’ll be in Seoul Friday night, April 2nd, and be leaving Friday afternoon, April 9th. I haven’t booked my lodging yet, but I’ll be staying at a hostel either in Sinseol-dong or near Beotigogae station. Like I said, I’ll have free time on Wednesday night, so if anyone has free time on Wed. night and wants to hit up an arcade or just go console warrior with me, let me know. (Oh, I doubt I’ll be packing my stick though, so if someone has a Japanese style stick I could use too, that would be great.)

EDIT: I just reserved my spot at the hostel near Beotigogae station…Happy Guesthouse. Anyways, see you guys in April.

I’ll be in Seoul tomorrow if anyone wants to meet at Isu. I’m gonna try and cop myself a copy of that Aliens vs. Predator (assuming it is released here in Korea). I also just need to get the eff out of the house. So if anyone wants to meet at Isu and hit up some games or something let me know. Just reply here or give me a call: 010-3470-1664

Unfortunately I live in the boonies so I can’t be out as late as some of you other cats.

good games ande. I think you let me win a few of those matches though, lol. I hate sagat’s fireballs so much! :stuck_out_tongue:

ggs happy
lol i didnt give you any games. you beat me fair and square those rounds.

ggs DJ
those were some intense battles. i was behind by so many games, i started losing confidence.
its so frustrating for me to play on the left side since my execution is so bad. lol how many times did i miss my anti-air dps on you and throw out a s.fierce or tiger shot?

GGs Ande.

Fucking close ass matches, 30-28. Good Shit dude.

Yeah we were both making dumb mistakes but it happens.

Freakin impressed that we had a near flawless connection. Probably the best I’ve encountered in Korea.

Can’t wait to get my stick this week so I can fight you with a stick next time.

Can anyone make it to isu tomorrow/today?

lol shit you were playing on a pad?
your execution was pretty spot on despite not having your stick.
impressive bro.

that double ko was pretty funny.

any1 up to meet up again for some games this weekend?

what day works best for you guys?

@ande

i’ll be beasting on Daigo and co from Friday, but if we could arrange a regular weekend session at someones place, that would be awesome.

I’ll try and convince my gf to have one here, she’s got a pretty big place with a 47inch lcd and massive couch. 4 or 5 guys, some food, beers and sf4 would be heaven!

I’m back on the 27th, so maybe you guys can come aorund on the 28th or the week after?

yea it would be cool if we could have a weekly get together.
next time we should have it at night, so we can have drinks and food.

don’t big tvs usually lag?

good luck in japan!

ggs today alvin.

I’ve got a big tv back home and lag isn’t really an issue, i don’t think it will affect the game that badly, we’ll just have to wait and see if you come over.

Night time would be cool, it’s just the getting home would be a problem if we miss the last trains, and i’ve got no idea about the buses :S

We’ll figure things out when i get back, and i got a message from willyshin, he’s up for meeting and having a few games too, at yours or his.

Thanks for the goodluck wishes, i need it, good thing i didn’t get the beat Laugh gave you, don’t wanna go there demoralised!

I don’t think TV size has anything to do with lag. It’s really just about the refresh rate of the TV. 5ms or less is ideal.

I’d like to meet up for some games sometime.

Nah it’s more to do with input lag, and it worsens the bigger the TV. It can be pretty major in some rare cases, especially if you’re planning on pulling out your 1 frame links. It doesn’t help when most companies don’t bother to work on making that gap smaller. Samsung tends to be okay, though if you really want to look into it, there are some TVs that have virtually no input lag, but I wouldn’t say it’s so serious that you should pull the extra cash, or go for a smaller TV just because of it.

I may be heading into Isu Thursday maybe around 4 or 5pm if anyone is up for some games. I haven’t played in a long while though so don’t expect huge competition.

EDIT: Also, how many of you play CvS2? I’ve been craving some games hardcore, and was curious how many would be interested in getting this going at some point.

are there even any arcades in korea with cvs2? i don’t think i’ve seen any.

as usual, ggs anderk. as i was thinking about it on the way home, i think the reversal uppercut really makes our gief sagat matchup about even since before, you’d have to guess whether to block or jump, but now, you can get out almost every time i try to cross you. fortunately, gief has other shenanigans he can do as long as he avoids sagat’s bigass foot.

so all of a sudden my ps3 cant connect to the internet…
my computer and tv work fine.
when i try the connection test it succeeds in obtaining an IP address, but it fails at the internet connection part.

i tried going wireless and my ps3 connects to the internet perfectly fine, but i think i’m connecting to my neighbor or something.

i have no idea why this is happened all of a sudden.
you guys have any ideas?

i’m hoping my provider is just doing some sort of maintenance that just effects my ps3, but that seems doubtful…

Have you tried resetting everything? PS3 and router?

yea i’ve tried everything…

my ps3 and computer are both directly connected to the dsl modem.
i dont understand why the pc works but the ps3 doesnt…

does any1 know how i can configure the modem?

andrew, this is a longshot, but maybe there’s something wrong with the ps3’s ethernet or the ethernet cable? you can test the cable by just swapping with the pc’s cable. for the ps3, maybe you can try taking it to a neighbor’s and seeing if it works there. its just a thought. i only know the basics about these sort of things.
