BTW, this weekend is the last filming of the TV SF4 tournament, and this time, they’re featuring top Japanese SF4 players such as Mago, Kindebu, Kyabetsu, and Momochi. They’re flying into Seoul tonight, and they’re planned to show up to Apgu on Friday night for an arcade SF4 team battle as well as an all day session on Sunday at a slightly different location in Apgu.

I was at Isu Saturday from like 5 till 8 I think.

It’s pretty funny because I haven’t played SFIV in over 2 months, but I played better than before! It’s like I needed to take a break from the game. I perfected one guy, and beat everyone that was there.

i went to isu and unfortunately one of the sf4 machines were down… so i wasted a trip there.
i headed over to apgu afterward and was disappointed with the lack of sf4 players.
a couple hours later some good players came and destroyed me.
lol i cannot compete with these guys!
i think i won one out of 6 games.
it was really cool playing against mago though! ^^

well it was good seeing you again laugh.
you have any pointers for me?

cant wait til i move out of my aunts place and have a place to hook up my ps3 so i can get some practice in.

So it’s highly likely I’ll be in Seoul sometime in April for about 10 days. I’d like to get some matches in while I’m in the area. Is it Isu where you guys usually meet up and play?

Regardless, I’m going to try to figure out a time to meet up and play with some of you guys and maybe get some matches against Korea’s best while I’m at it (I’m looking at you, Laugh).

Also Laugh: I might be buying a Saulabi while I’m there; any chance I could buy some parts off you to replace the stock Saulabi parts, and just pick them up sometime, thus saving on the shipping costs to the states?

That’s cool. April is a long time from now, so let us know near the D-day as well.

I always keep a stock of stick parts, so that won’t be a problem.

We’re having weeklies at 2 different arcades on every weekend, so as long as we still have those weeklies, you should be able to play against some of Korea’s best players.

do you or anyone of your friends know how to get the saulabi to work in windows 7? it worked just fine in xp, but win 7 won’t let the drivers install.

i know of few of the guys that go to weeklies have the pc version, but i dunno if any have upgraded to 7. its probably a long shot but figured i’d ask anyway.

Saulabi sticks never needed any drivers in XP, so I don’t know what needs to be done about Windows 7. Shouldn’t it also work just by plugging it in?

well i guess its not a driver per say but a program that came with the stick that helps you configure the buttons in xp.

that program doesn’t work in 7 so you can’t configure the buttons. when you plug it in, the joystick works but none of the buttons work.

since at least the joystick gets recognized, i’m sure its a fairly easy fix for anyone that knows how to do it so i’ll probably just have to wait for the company to release a win7 compatible program

btw, i watched a lot of your matches from that televised tournament on youtube. eating an ultra for that missed air tatsu escape was heartbreaking. oh well, you’ll have many more opportunities in the future i’m sure.

I just got a PS3, but I didn’t grab SF4. Dunno if there is really a point to it with SSF4 coming in a few months. I may just grab it if it is mad cheap somewhere. I do need to test out my ps2 stick to make sure it works with the game.
