wow really? You know which Japanese players showed up?

no idea, but i’m sure laugh knows.
the only players i recognized were poongko, some banana guy i saw on that sf4 show in korea, and laugh.

laugh, where are they going to be playing tonight in apgu?

I most likely will stop by Isu and play some SFIV today.

heading out to play some sf4 in Isu.

I was at Isu Saturday from like 5 till 8 I think.

It’s pretty funny because I haven’t played SFIV in over 2 months, but I played better than before! It’s like I needed to take a break from the game. I perfected one guy, and beat everyone that was there.

C.lk c.lk C.lp SRK FADC RH Ultra is so DELICIOUS 15 hit ULTRA COMBO!

Oh yeah Thurst, did you hang up on me Saturday night lolz? My gf was trying to talk to you on the phone, but then you hung up. I was drunk as fuck so I was like yelling at you on the phone haha…

i went to isu and unfortunately one of the sf4 machines were down… so i wasted a trip there.
i headed over to apgu afterward and was disappointed with the lack of sf4 players.
a couple hours later some good players came and destroyed me.
lol i cannot compete with these guys!
i think i won one out of 6 games.
it was really cool playing against mago though! ^^

well it was good seeing you again laugh.
you have any pointers for me?

cant wait til i move out of my aunts place and have a place to hook up my ps3 so i can get some practice in.

edit:
Can anyone explain to me how afreecatv works?

where do you live/what do you do in korea?

Sup everyone, I just got orders to S.Korea. I report on Jan 20th and I’ll be there for at least a year. I don’t even know what base I’ll be on lol but whereever the Marines are that’s where I’ll be. Aviation side. Maybe Silentness knows where I’ll be…

I’m in yoido staying at my aunt’s for now.

My job is setting me up with a place by shincheon station by the end of this month.

I’m an english teacher.

Oh, yeah you’re probably talkin about those few matches from the SvB team tourney. SF4 is my main game now so I’m hoping I won’t be too far from the action…I’ve also seen some of your matches and I’m looking forward to playing you as well.

Anyone out here want to get in some online sf4 or TEKKEN 6 practice via ps3, add me. NekoSizzle

sounds good man, i’ll be on xbl today after work. hit me up!

i’m also thinking of going up to itaewon on friday night. anyone down to hit up the arcades? i’d like to meet some of you guys up on seoul and duke it out.

So it’s highly likely I’ll be in Seoul sometime in April for about 10 days. I’d like to get some matches in while I’m in the area. Is it Isu where you guys usually meet up and play?

Regardless, I’m going to try to figure out a time to meet up and play with some of you guys and maybe get some matches against Korea’s best while I’m at it (I’m looking at you, Laugh).

Also Laugh: I might be buying a Saulabi while I’m there; any chance I could buy some parts off you to replace the stock Saulabi parts, and just pick them up sometime, thus saving on the shipping costs to the states?

hey man, i havent been in korea long. which arcade do you hold these weeklies?

Thanks laugh, I’ll double check in here when it draws closer, and I know the exact dates.

Also gives me time to decide which Korean stick I want to grab from you.

hey laugh,

do you or anyone of your friends know how to get the saulabi to work in windows 7? it worked just fine in xp, but win 7 won’t let the drivers install.

i know of few of the guys that go to weeklies have the pc version, but i dunno if any have upgraded to 7. its probably a long shot but figured i’d ask anyway.

well i guess its not a driver per say but a program that came with the stick that helps you configure the buttons in xp.

that program doesn’t work in 7 so you can’t configure the buttons. when you plug it in, the joystick works but none of the buttons work.

since at least the joystick gets recognized, i’m sure its a fairly easy fix for anyone that knows how to do it so i’ll probably just have to wait for the company to release a win7 compatible program

btw, i watched a lot of your matches from that televised tournament on youtube. eating an ultra for that missed air tatsu escape was heartbreaking. oh well, you’ll have many more opportunities in the future i’m sure.

oh my goodness I haven’t posted in a long time.

I just got a PS3, but I didn’t grab SF4. Dunno if there is really a point to it with SSF4 coming in a few months. I may just grab it if it is mad cheap somewhere. I do need to test out my ps2 stick to make sure it works with the game.

If anyone wants to add me on PS3 my name on there is HappyPencil.

I just hope SSF4 gets an arcade release in 2010. It can happen…
