I was at Isu Friday/Saturday night and the competition is definitely GOOD.

Friday night after Isu I went to Itaewon. I know Fox (Will) said Itaewon is Seoul’s asshole, but there are a ton of Korean chicks there that are into black guys. Guys were going up to this one Korean chick and she was brushing them off until I came over and she accepted me :tup: (Cause I’m the Man… and you know that “Shawty Lo”) I was sucking on her gigantic lollipop and grinded up on her until my ass was so fucked up that I kept falling on her and shit. She got annoyed and left 
Eventually I met this other Korean chick that was mad cool. We chilled together and then we left. We went to a hotel and… did not fuck. FML
She woke up and said “Did we have sex” I was like “No…” She fucking fell asleep as soon as she hit the bed. Got dammit I"m still like over 2 months in a drought for sex. Anyways I got that hotel chick’s number and she’s mad cool so maybe we can see again if she’s not flaking on me. I’d like to settle down with one chick like before it’d be nice. She’s mad cool IMO!
New in Korea
Hey there. Just recently came to south korea and currently living in Daejeon Province. I’ve been trying to find out information on local arcades here and havn’t found much. I did end up finding this thread. I’m more into finding music games, but always willing to play most games.
i was actually JUST in daejeon today playing basketball with some cats i met on facebook. live in gongju which is about 25-30 mins away daejeon, closer to seoul though, good to see there are SRKers that don’t just live near seoul or busan…that said, if you like music games you can pretty much find them at any arcade, in my city we have to arcades and they have a lot of rhythm games, i don’t play those type of games so i don’t know exactly what they have though, i’m almost positive that if you can find the arcade in daejeon (and there almost has to be one) then there will be a fuckton of music games there.
are you teaching daejeon? and if so, public school/hagwon/other?
I am currently teaching at two public schools here Daejeon. I’ve been exploring a little each time I go out with some of the other teachers in the province and have found a few arcades. The arcade I found near Jungang-no station was the most impressive to me so far, but I can’t remember what the building was called. I definitely want to play an arcade Guilty Gear, DJ Max Technica, and pop n music. Being able to find other players here would be awesome, since not many of the teachers who came over are not that overly interested in games. At some point I’ll visit Seoul, but not sure if I’d be able to do regular trips much less how to get there at the moment.
Embarrassingly the game I loved to play when it was still in my arcade in the states was Para Para Dancing. It’s not hard to miss with the bright flashing pink lights, but pink is a good thing in Korea apparently. Funny enough PPD is a specific Korean version of the series, so I was hoping to find at least one machine close to me.
A little unrelated, but are there any decent console based shops in Daejeon, anywhere close, or just anywhere. I’ve found one shop but it’s selection was rather small and the language barrier kept me from saying more than ‘hi’.

there’s almost definitely a gameworld somewhere in daejeon, they have a pretty good selection of games assuming you have an ps3 or ps2. if you have an 360 from the US though be careful though bcuz of the region coding.
and if you really can’t find the gameworld or similar store, there’s one here in gongju.
sweet that you got a public school gig, i met a lot of guys today that are teaching there at various hagwons and jr. highs.

apgujeong arcade probably has the widest selection of music games. they have 2 iidx machines and a ddr supernova 2, only places in korea i’ve seen with those games. they also have 2 pop’n’music, dm, gf, dj max, jubeat. that’s all i can think of off the top of my head. no para para though. i haven’t seen a para para machine anywhere in years.

Thanks for the info about the gamecenter and Apujeong. It seems I am just about 30 minutes walking/subway from the one in Daejeon. Apgujeong Arcade sounds very awesome, but is seems to be about a 3 hour subway trip for me. I’ll have to try finding it when I have more free time on the weekends and feeling adventurous.
from seoul to daejeon was a little less than 2 hrs by bus both times i went there, one time was around noon and the other was the last bus out of gangnam @ midnight. i heard there’s traffic going the other way, regardless though express bus is prob the way to go or the bullet KTX if you’re ballin’ like that (lol).
as most people can attest, i’m pretty terrible at sf4 but i’m down to get in some games or just chill in general (no homo lol) considering i’m in the area.

I remember I use to have a problem doing FADC… and now I can do it in my sleep haha.
I went from a Sagat that can’t do shit… and now I can kara fireball, do his link combos with ease, ultra setups, proper tiger knee traps, fireball traps, block string into chip damage.
My Sagat has grown up so much :sad:
