Korea Thread - SF, Chicken, and Beer

it’s not a Korean arcade if there’s not Tekken hahaha

cool. Now all I have to do is know how to get there from here hahaha.

I might hit up Seoul this week. Anyone willing to show me around there?

+1 on AD35 anyone wanna show me around to some time. I have a stupid ass curfew from monday to friday cause I am at a university. So can some one show me around Seoul next saturday or friday.

Yo Dash_Kid are you in the TaLK program?

I’m located at the Suwon Kyung Hee University place.

There is an arcade literally 2 minutes away walking from campus that has tekken 6, a shit load of other tekkens and a really worn down CvS2. Oh yeah, and Virtua Fighter 4.

they have these 2v2’s every friday laffu?

If so I’d like to enter at the end of the month or september. team affirmative actionn

Ah, that’s pretty sweet! I’ll practice up some sf4 and try to get in on the one at the end of the month.

Ah arcades. They have one here in Busan that has 4 SF4 machines. Anyways, I probably will hit up Seoul this week or weekend. I’m not that good, I’m really more of a casual player than anything else, but I can somewhat hold my own lol.

I guess most of you guys are teaching English here in Busan or part of the military here?

I have a lot of practice to do for SFIV.

I have trouble against Zangief and Dhalsim with my Sagat.

fox and ness are military, the rest of us are english teachers or just korean i think.

Hey man, I’m gonna be in Ulsan teaching English but it’s only about an hour or so from Busan. Can you give me some details on this place? Really wanna play some SF4 once I’m there!

Yo man, I’m in the TaLK Program! I think I may have just talked to you - I’m the kid that got stomped in Tekken at Insadong… too much SF4 I forgot how to play that game. Anyways whoever you are let me know when you head out there!

Ohmseven you gotta be kidding me… you are teaching in Ulsan? I’m teaching in that exact same district, class 4 A man. Whaaat, damn small world.

Name is Dan btw, I’ll probably see you tomorrow.

yeah I’m in the TaLK program and it was probably me playing that t6 machine. Yo let me know your room number so we can hit it up or something. My room number is 608.

bring condoms.

ahahahaa

Yeah, the arcade is in Seomyeon, basically downtown Busan. It’s probably the biggest arcade in Busan, and there’s alot of people who play it down here.

I see that you guys are part of the Talk Program so that’s cool. I’m with Epik which is for people who finished college (Talk is like the junior version of Epik)

So you can teach English without a degree?

kinda…but you have to be in school and be accepted into the TaLK program. at least that’s my understanding of how TaLK works.

Talk is the english program that lets you do what EpiK program does without a degree. The only qualifications you have to have is that you have to be in college for at least 2 years, and basically go through a whole bunch of paperwork. The Talk program lets you do a 6 month contract to teach english in Korea, and I think you can renew (not positive on that…) but with epik, you just need to graduate from college with any degree.

It’s easy qualifications, it’s just the paperwork is somewhat of a hassle.

I’m doing a last minute call to Isu tonight so if anyone wants to come, just head on over.
