XIII ost < 2K2UM ost for me
An anime would be great but wonāt it be more costly for SNK. They should make Orichi story in to anime movie & I have a feeling it will be a instant hit.
I feel like the best way to go about doing it is what the new Chinese overlords said they wanted to do. Marvel Cinematic Universe style cross media operation. Make the KoF universe cohesive, then start off with like an Art of Fighting movie. Then do a Fatal Fury movie. Then do an Athena movie. Then do an Ikari Warriors movie. Then after establishing the players, bring them all together into a KoF movie where even new viewers are in on it and understand what is happening. This of course would be VERY expensive, but if you pull it off it would probably make the SNK IPās more popular than theyāve ever been. You might even be able to turn the franchise into a blockbuster instead of a bargain bin title starring Ray Park.
Eh, weāve already had a live-action KOF movieā¦ keep it to anime and manga.
Movies can be animated as well, you know.
KOFXI is that one game where I prefer the OST instead of the AST. What I didnāt like in the arranged soundtrack is that itās kinda overproduced. The arrangers went too far in the electronic style that XI adopted and added so much beep-boop shit while at the same time putting the guitars in the background. Plus, the OST just sounds āfullerā, like it has more bass. IMO, it didnāt even need an AST, it doesnāt sound that rough compared to the Neogeo OSTs.
Duuuuude.
WWIII is like, top tier Ikari theme right with Desert Requiem.
Most animĆ© these days donāt even make money on their own and rely on merchandise sales to break even. An animĆ© would just put unnecessary strain on SNK-P.

Thatās actually a good idea.
I would personally start off with art of fighting since itās the first in the series. Now if Iām not mistaken is there a decade between AOF 2 and FF1. Also isnāt samurai showdown in the same continuity. I personally would like to see samurai showdown, last blade and ninja masters all confirmed to be in the same time era of relatively close. This could actually work out well if SNK plays there cards right. Athena solo movie along with metal slug sole movie would be amazing.
I also wouldnāt mind if the fatal fury movie finally confirmed that geese is in fact the father of terry and rock.
How can you hate the Tengu Show? Itās amazing.
If weāre getting into overhyped stuff, Arashi no Saxophone would like a word with you.

Least favourite is probably Kyokugen Training.
If thereās one song I want to come back, itās Seoul Road. Iāve watched entire tournaments with that playing in the background for the whole day without getting bored.
This so hard, why this track hasnāt been redone is beyond me. Iād also like Inner Shade to return in some way, too bad Benimaru usually isnāt a āteam leader,ā maybe they could pull an XI?
XIIIās OST was alright, good but nothing spectacular.
Honestly, the only OST/ASTs I am really fond of are 02UM, XI and XIII, with the exception of XIās AST.
Never really liked the XI AST simply for the fact that it sounded soā¦ empty compared to the OST, like the bass was almost non-existent in the former. Iām not too sure how to describe it to be honest.

So far the only song that i truly like on the KOFXIII ost is Kās team theme.
The rest tend to be very meh for my taste.
I know 96ās āEsaka!ā gets done to death (and I still love it,) but Iād like to see some Esaka Forever from 97 get represented more. Itās neat they choose Goodbye Esaka for XIII over Tears as much as I love Tears, but Iād like to see the more infrequent tracks. Iād like a new Funky Esaka or another jazzy take of 97ās Cool Jam.
For me, 97ās Cool Jam in the AST takes it for my most favorite Iori theme other than good olā Stormy Saxophone. Sadistic Eyes is also pretty cool.
One soundtrack that I thought was pretty poor was 2003, but the XIII take on the 2003 themes were done much better and is somewhat redeemed.
Maybe Iām just very partial towards DandyJās guide to KOF, but the 2000 soundtrack is my top 2/3 in the list. Iād also like to see Kulaās theme from 2000 reprised in some form or another since it had a very cool, atmospheric feel to it. Kinda reminds me of that ice dungeon in Ocarina of Time before doing the Water Temple.

the first stages shown is called Neo Esaka and you can hear the beginning of the song in the latest trailer (and some notes during the battle between Kyo and Iori)
Itās kinda hard to hear once the fight gets going. The intro is absolutely from Esaka?, but Iām not so sure itās a remix just yet. Need to hear more of the song.
