KOF 13 jumps were much floatier than older games… Its just that hitboxes sucked, so even if you do a reaction cr.c, it would lose and you would eat a full combo.
That Iori DM in this video looks like it could be one of two things: 1) his new Saika, the movelists show that he does have the motion or 2) , his other listed DM qcb,hcf + P. Logically, it looks like its his qcb,hcf + P DM, since a prompt that says ‘Advanced Cancel’ came up and he lost 2 stocks of meter (instead of the usual 1 stock). So, bets are that it’s his 8 Wine Cups DM, but redone to be something similar to a stationary Dormammu Floating Bomb?
I’m sorry are you bothered by the developers not telling you how to play a character 6+ months before the game comes out. Boo hoo at this rate you might have to figure it out yourself at launch… the horror.
I mean you do realize that SFV and MKX explained all characters before months before the game even had a release date, but that’s about it. No one else does that and the amount off exposure peeps got of SFV prelaunch is not the norm, it’s the exact opposite. Maybe you’re too young to know this but back in the day people had to figure characters out for them selves.
XIV’s King is a curious mix between her versions in XIII and CvS2. I love it, even she has a quite limited moveset. Well, at least this time all characters have 2 DMs + Climax.
And I love ground bounce and just defend. It makes the game feels new and fresh.
Im guessing that 8 wine cups super is only an oki trap in the corner, seeing as how you can tech roll after supers (if that’s still in 14) seems pretty pointless outside of the corner if they are a mile away after they tech.
A possibility is also just using it for run away. They could roll away, but if they want to encroach they’d have to jump and you can anti-air easily. It’ll explode on its own after a certain period of time, so I can picture some timer scamming with it. Rounds are still 60 seconds like they always are so time over matches happen more often in KOF than other games like SF or Guilty Gear. So yeah, last 10 seconds, Iori has life lead, just do Wine Cups or something and control neutral.
Quick question, am I getting a little overboard by getting my hopes up for team specific home stages? It’s just that the carnival of the dead stage seems tailored for the Mexico team, the church for the K’ team, Truck stop for FF team, and of course Neo Esaka if the Japan team stage. The opera house goes to the Official team. The AoF team could get a dojo not unlike the shoto dojo in KoFXIII. The aquarium could easily go to the Women Fighters team or some other of the less serious teams, South Town team could get one of Geese Towers’ many weeaboo dungeons(lol). The stadium for Antonov, and the destroyed stadium for Cthulhu, etc, etc, etc. it would mean a minimum of 18 stages not including a training stage. Thoughts?
The translations were ambigous to the point where they would be calling them “team fatal fury” stage etc. The masquerade stage is also Sylvie’s team stage apparently. So it is likely.
yes i agree you’re right it is a great space control tool, and great time wasting material, i dunno i just find it a bit odd you’re already giving a great well rounded chracter even more tools, i mean he has a command grab good normals, good in the air, decent damage, easy confirmable damage, now he has even more tools.
Looking at everybody else so far who else has that many good tools?
