Anyone have a transcript to the Iori Combo video above? I might try to write out all the combos if there isn’t.

Don’t think anyone transcribed it no. I should look at these combos sometime and see if there’s any combos worth doing not listed on the wiki yet. (I recently put time into fixing the wiki combos)
crB crA fA qcbC dpA is better done as cr.BA f+A qcb+C, cr.D (damage) or no follow-up at all (oki) .
[Edit] Made some radical changes to the layout of the Claw Iori combos. I hope you guys like it. I’m open to suggestions.
I still have some combos to actually check for damage and stun that seem worthwhile that are shown in the combo video above, but right now my hands are not up to doing these combos.
It’s specifically the dp+A (DC) qcb+B, qcb+A, qcb+A variations of some of the listed corner combos. So if anyone is up to doing
cl.C f+A, A xx qcb+AC, qcb+A, qcb+A, dp+A (DC) qcb+B, qcb+A, qcb+A
>cr.D
>cl.C
>qcf, hcb+P
>qcf, hcb+AC
I found a neat little pseudo-option select. During any qcb+B or D, input qcb+C. If it’s blocked or whiffs, nothing happens; if the initial attack hits, you DC automatically into qcb+C and get any of the usual followups afterwards. Maybe not tremendously useful (because Iori really does have better uses for drive) but considering how safe qcb+K is on block it’s a neat tool to have available.
Those are the values for the first combo posted by phoenixnl above with each of the finishers listed above. If I do them for the second combo I will edit them into this post later.
Edit: I used dp+A (DC) qcb+D instead of qcb+B for the combos, I don’t think it should make a difference because they both do 60 damage and 6 stun but I thought I should mention it…I just find it much easier to do combos like this with qcb+D.
Also this probably sounds really gimmicky but after you land Iori’s command grab you could super jump forward, hit the opponent with jC or D, and if you super jump forward at the right time again you end up crossing them up.
It’s old. You could hyper hop j.C or D to reset and actually run underneath. You could run to either side, tick with cr.B, then hyper hop over them again for a free cross up. Then at any moment you could mix-up with command throws. You could actually do command throw > run forward > cl.C xx qcb+B to cross under or fake cross under depending on the spacing and timing of cl.C and it’s pretty easy to control. You could even do command throw > run underneath > cl.C xx qcb+B but you always land right in front of them. He has more and more mix-ups after command throw.
Been in the lab with this guy a lot more than normal. I got this setup I am working on, it goes like this:
Set yourself in the corner with opponent right in front of you. As in, if you command grabbed them, they would be in the corner.
-Do 5B, 6A, command grab. Doing taco to put yourself in the corner is optional, or you can just roll or jump into it.
-After command grab, do hyperhop D
-During the time your opponent is flipping out. do Taco.
If done correctly, you’ll get a crossup that is pretty nuts. It looks safe, I have been working on it for about a day now. Gonna try some more practices to make sure. Bad thing about the crossup is the fact that it takes your opponent out of the corner. Like I said, it is pretty crazy and it might be a corner vortex. You guys should try it out and see if you get the same results. I’ll try to record with my shitty webcam to show it to you.
Also, remember to abuse his close normals because almost all of them are + frames on block or hit except for close 5C and 5D. Once you get the opponent to be scared of your normals, command grab and start using some top tier yomi or bait out their defensive options.
I haven’t tried it myself but honestly, off a throw into the corner Iori gets SO much damage, I’m not sure how worthwhile it is to go into a reset and potentially losing that damage.
I haven’t done the exact calculations but, excluding HD, I think you’ll only end up doing about 100 damage more if you add the reset, but the guaranteed damage point of the reset stops at like 150…
Not saying it isn’t good, and if you can get it down, it’s definitely worth knowing, and sometimes throwing it out as a trickshot, but it’ll be worth looking at how much of a total damage gain you get from adding the reset per amount of meter.
Like:
cl.B f+A hcf+P, dp+C qcb+B, qcb+A, cl.C does 305 damage
cl.B f+A hcf+P hh.D does 160 damage, after that you’ll do taco + standard midscreen combo so that’s what? like 270 damage? (taco cl.C f+A qcb+C, cr.D). So that’s 430 in total.
Is an increase of 125 damage really worth: 1. potentially only getting 160 damage 2. giving up the corner?
I would think everyone values this differently, but yeah it’s something to think about.
Damage for the loop is the following:
j.back+B, standing B, forward+A, hcf+C, dp+C, hyperhop D (263 damage)
I will try to recod it vs a DP and what happens if you sniff out roll attempt. However, recording this was hard for me so if anyone else wants to record those actions then go ahead. I had to literally rig my iphone up in a shoe… I am not lying. If someone can record with better equipment, it would be much appreciated.
You guys might want to watch this. You will find some pretty interesting HD combos and set ups here.
There is also a infinite combo around 1:40 of the following video… something like this:
qcb+AC, qcb+AC, qcf, hcb+A, qcb+A, qcb+A, qcf, hcb+A, qcb+A, qcb+A… etc, etc, etc. You should get that same result as in the video. It would also behoove players to understand how to free cancel EX Iori’s rekka for the sake of having even more tricks up their sleeves…
