KoF XIII General Discussion: Part II

There is currently no way to save your training mode config. It’s pretty dumb, actually. lol.

I didnt say its new did I? Doesnt make it any less stupid though.
I never played against a good kyo in the old games (and i dont use him) so i never really knew that he had guardpoint on his specials.
usually what i did to beat guardpoint is throw them out of the move but they can tech the throw even if theyre still in the move’s animation/recovery -__-

i didnt say its spammable i just think its stupid coz now I cant even stay in Rekka’s range like…ever.
its most likely just me never really learning how to beat guardpoint unless i have a command grab >_>

I’m impressed though, if this post was in the SF4 forums people would hop on bitching with me as well lol. KoF community respect +1

Looks likes someone doesn’t know how to cr.B it like it’s 98. Or at least stay outside its range, anticipate it, and full jump and punish it. Please, even a sweep.

Sorry yo. But complaining about Kyo guard points is one of the most scrubbiest things I ever heard. I am really really sorry but yo ugh.

God damn, I hate survival mode in this game.

You go around dominating forever, but the CPU just keeps stockpiling that Drive and SDM meter. Then, all of a sudden, some zero frame full screen NeoMAX punish brings you from a healthy life lead to 10-20%, then the CPU just spams you with fireballs.

Then you get that “Congratulations!”, as if it’s patronizing you. “Congratulations! You only beat 31 out of the 35 fighters - which is just as good as only beating 2 out of the 35 fighters, because all the really matters is beating 35 out of the 35 fighters! Thanks for wasting our time!”

Sigh. Might be time to stop doing this legit and just start spamming Vice Splash.

Yeah, it’s a minor gripe that you can’t save your training settings. For me I actually avoid playing some characters so that I’m not playing too many at once. I’m practicing those in my sig along with XIII Iori.

So I will have to pay $8 for my prime squad…I’m ready.

Where’s the enthusiasm!?!

Slam that money on the table and yell,“It’s GO time!” First string is here and ready to bash some skulls!

I was hoping they fixed that from KoFXII…nice to know they didn’t.

Merry Christmas

I imagine we’ll see an influx of players due to it being Christmas and all the positive buzz the game has been receiving along the way.

Happy Holidays.
I’m having trouble trying to get the achievement for getting an SS grade. Does anyone know the requirements or have any tips for it?

Am I the only guy who wants to see Rock in this game? I think it would be balla.

Beat the computer with a single character and get 1 perfect victory at least, That’s how i did it i think

^ Aww that did not work. Thanks for the response though!
Also did what you said, but got 2 perfects and still no SS :[

Try max canceling from a super in hyperdrive mode.

That worked, thanks!

I sure wont fight it, if they make him available through DLC…I also want reiji ogami though

Anyone have any tips for landing those tough inks with strict timing?

I just got this game for the 360 and i am leaning toward Andy/Joe/Leona, maybe replace Andy with Daimon because he just seems pretty awesome. Benimaru seems cool, just because of stuff like the Benimaru lancer. I was trying to get used to Duolong since he looked snazzy in the all black with white sneakers but his trials are murdering me and I get drive canceled f.a when just trying to do rekkas with qcf a. I get the rekkas if I try to get to be meticulous about it but in real matches I eventually screw up the rekka and drop it. Strangely I also get a lot of accidental supers with Elisabeth after dp.

On another note, I tried to sign up for Dreamcancel but I got errors when I tried to register. It just says an error occurred, anyone else having problems with that site?

Benimaru is a lot like 98 Iori. They’re swiss army knives. They can do everything. They have a projectile, they have a command grab, a good AA move, etc.

Goro Daimon is very good but takes a while to get used to. He can get rushed down pretty bad but he has good zoning, good AA’s, really good grabs, and easy 800 Damage with 3 bars in Neo Max.
