Keeping it 100% real, how quality could your experience to players in Europe be for any game really? What I was really touching on was that the merits of the GAME SYSTEM should be the primary concern not extra online modes. Play the game because it is a good game not because it plays well/not well online.
…What? There’s no point to playing 1v1 with a friend?
I was speaking about it in some thread here. Netcode is a deal breaker for some folks. No matter how good the game is, if the netcode isn’t reliable they’ll get rid of the game. People are already doing it. In other words just being a quality game isn’t enough(for some folks).
then I retort with LOL @ this era
I’m a big fraud clown
time to kill yourself
netcode is a legitimate reason to not play a game competitively when you don’t have a local scene or can’t make one. take wolfkrone for instance… he basically doesn’t have a local scene for ae, but netplay alone has made him the most consistent american player. he even told me he likes xiii and would play it if he had comp online or off, but not if he didn’t have any at all.
I played someone online in this game that was pretty close and the netcode wasnt that bad. Very noticable delay but not that bad. Netcode is a very good reason not to play a game seriously if you dont have offline comp. Online is a way that people can play a game and learn how the game is played. Its hard to play a game like that and deal with heavy lag at the same time. I hope that they do fix this games netcode because i really like the game and would like to take it seriously
Patch for better online play is must at the moment. Local scenes are pretty much dead or very small for KoF13, except few places in US. The game is out for almost 2 weeks now and I can’t feel any hype at anywhere. The local offline that I attended few times have 6~7 of AE and MvC3 stations but only 1 KoF13 station. In addition, I and some other guy were only people who played the game seriously. Few more people tried it, but I could see that they would not take the game seriously later on. Furthermore, AE 2012 is coming out very soon. KoF13 will very likely be forgotten in people’s minds at this rate.
My point is that SNK needs to release a new patch for better online play as soon as possible, so casuals can keep playing the game online at home instead of discarding the game once AE 2012 or other fighting game is out.
See, I do understand that. FGs are about competition. Without locals, the backup plan is online. If the online fails, then there’s nothing you can pretty much do. Training mode and VS CPU can only do so much. So I understand when some people pass a game due to lack to competition.
Been playing the hell of this game hopefully it gets more attention so they can start having them at majors loving the drive cancels hd combos the execuction to land combos . so l hope to make a scene down here
Challenge mode is very addictive, it could take months to finish all the combos, i’m having a great fun with this game right now, nice controls, cool characters, sweet combos, nice execution, decent balance imho, i really hope this game gets a nice scene in the US (outside is really popular) because is a great game in terms of gameplay imo.
To bad the netcode is having issues, not to bad but unfortunately it doesn’t get a nice standard for some players en certain regions.
Fortunately i can play this with my 2 brothers and some friends here, until they fix the netcode problems.
Flame Iori is on XBL. Go to the Game Marketplace then Add-Ons and Extras then go to Titles A-Z. Go to the T section and scroll down to get The King of Fighters. It’ll be there.
FFFFFFFFFF damn last week of classes and finals stuff :<
Getting out of work, i will try the K’ challenges, i’ve heard that k’s challenges are the hardest of the game, is this true?
I finished kyo and Terry trials with my ps3 pad some people keeps saying in a lot of sites that doing some trials are almost impossible with a pad, idk i feel very comfortable with my pad right now (haven’t tried the other characters trials yet).
They are, in some cases. I’ve been using a pad for at least a decade, but after trying some of Vice’s and Clark’s trials, I’m looking to get a good stick.
So…how do we get SRK to buff up the KOF XIII section of the forums? Surprised at the lack of character sub forums, and not including a new title in the drop down list when you click forums from the main page.
Anyways, picking up the game tonight, felt great the few times I’ve tried it, love the way it looks and everything I’ve heard about it thus far…hoping srk embraces a title like this in this era of fighters. See ya’ll out there!
We need more activity to justify it. That’s really all there is to it.
i finally got mine, and… well if i thought my sf execution was bad. wowzers. getting used to the chain combo inputs will be key. as other posters have said, the inputs almost feel delayed, not sure if that’s because I’m coming from AE. however, what i did realise was that since for the light chains you can almost buffer one inside another it should give plenty of time for you to chain into specials. now if i can only get my left hand to obey my special move commands…
did a few trials, messed around in training mode… i think i’m going to stick with it. this game is awesome. as soon as i can unlock saiki, i will team him with athena and daimon until nests kyo comes out.
one question though… why the heck do snk bosses have to be such sadistic freaks? saiki and ash aren’t as bad as rugal from back in the day, but sheesh.
