Depends on your mixup, you can charge with either. But I think it’s all depending on ones mindgames. Example: Maybe After super, you want to empty jump cr. B cr. A ex shoulder then dropkick, you will charge D. If you want crossup D, you will charge B.
Also, learning Hwa. That Majin Hwa pallette in that 100% combo vid gave me the motivation lol. That shit was too dope.
The third one works in marketinging for qanba, he will provide “adult supurvision” for xiaohai and dakou. He won a few regionals in sf4 and will compete in both sf4 and kofxiii.
Does anyone think the whole “Drive” thing is dumb as hell? It’s basically a combo fodder gauge. And when you have 2 bars you can just do a minimum of half life off of everything! Yay! I would have rather drive cancels be integrated into the power gauge. Just one gauge. It’s probably the only real problem I have have with the game, with the other issue being the load times. With Guilty Gear, you have multiple options available with your super meter. If you do some cancels then you might not be able to get out of a tight situation later on since you don’t have a dead angle/alpha counter ready. In KoF the power gauge is really versatile, actually. You have supers, guard rolls, and guard blowbacks. With Drive, all you can do with it is…stronger combos. I hate the idea of Hyperdrive mode. Christ. Practicing HD combos is fun, sure, but I am not looking forward to when I have to play people that know HD combos and get hit then have to stare at the screen for ten seconds until my dude dies. And regardless of my foe’s skill, have to suffer through 5-10 seconds between every character transition. a minimum of three times. And that’s if one of us gets destroyed with just one character. The fact the KoF has shorter combos then some other games was something that I liked. But HD just turns that around. Blarg.
I would be down. Only problem is that you are in Jersey and im across the country in Washington State. It is hard for me to have a decent connection with anyone east of Colorado. We could always give it a shot though.
The load times are not that bad, and we have come along way on loading times. I used to have a first gen NeoGeo CD, and the loading times on that thing was horrendous. I remember when I played kof 97 it took about two and a half min to load the match, and about 50 seconds in between rounds, but i would still play it, because kof is just that awesome!
do BnB’s exist in this game? Or is it just you have to learn 50 different combos for 50 different situations for each of your characters? The character threads in this forum are a little…lacking (maybe I should check the wiki…)
You answered yourself. You should check the wiki, it’s really good for a lot of characters. And yes, it has BnB’s, there’s actually very little situational stuff. Most situational you get is ‘in the corner’, which is true for any game.
BnBs definitely do exist. If you read the wiki will basically find what your best meterless, meter, drive, and drive+meter options are. Depending on the character though you really need to only know a couple combos. For instance learning a 2 meter + 1 drive combo might be pointless for some characters when a 1 meter + 1 drive combo almost lands similar damage and leads into better oki. So unless you want to be stylish your best bet is to just learn what your character is best at with the meter and butter that presents them.
