jumping D, standing C…psycho sword? I think there was a 3rd hit before the special but it
happened so fast. it looked like a crouching A or something.

That’s Jump D -> C -> CD -> psycho sword
On a side note, so far her best combo is this
(corner) j. D -> C -> CD -> f+B -> qcb+B -> super or dp+C
Also mid screen against a jump attacking opponent you can do this
Reflector (reflects jump attack) -> f+C -> f+B (miss) -> s. A
might be possible to do super or dp+P instead of s. A at the end
I do know you can do a reflector and then dash super
st.A can’t be cancel into a special?
It can be cancelled, but they are technically in the air already when the s. A hits. Things seem to only juggle after normal hit is if it counters, is a CD attack, or some special attacks (ex. light phoenix arrow).

Athena’s infinite
CD xx f+B on airborne enemy.
This is hard since the timing aspect changes during the 1st 3 reps.
The only for sure way to set this up is with a CC, and they are not only harder on timing, but you need to use certain ones.
In the corner only sadly.
Did anyone find
CC > Super
hard to pull off? I do mean the super where it flashes (not regular super during CC)
You can buffer the Super anytime during the CC freeze and she’ll automatically do her Critical Super when she can move again.
It seems like just a loop, not an infinite as of yet. Due to how the opponent falls after each rep, unless there is a way to restart it its not a true infinite, it’s a loop in the corner however.
WAt’s athena’s best CC combo? I remember reading somewhere abt qcf A, dash, C, qcf A and then something else. Cant remember where i read it. But cant seem to get even the front part to hit. So far wat i’ve come up with is in the corner: fwd+b, qcb+B (air), qcb+A, qcb+A, C, CD, fwd+B, qcb+B (air), DM. But this only works in the corner and the 2nd qcb+A only works if the first qcb+A is done really close to the target who shld be deep into the corner.
No it’s an infinite, just requires very good timing.
Pick Raiden then set him to jump straight up, when he barely starts jumping press CD then immediately cancel into f+B. You’ll get the 1st bug hit easy, now the rest requires a rhythm of waiting almost a second then doing another CD immediately cancelled with f+B.
It’s one of those “No way in hell anyone can do this” infinites.
It’s really hard, but I don’t want every1 to strain their eyes watching my vid just to see what it looks like.
I’ll test on Raiden when I get the time withou a doubt. Props to discovering it! Athena seems to be victim of those “probably not possible in a real match” Infinites…
See 98 lol.
The infinite is actually explained in full in the Brady guide, but it is nice to have a video since I’ve only been able to get a couple reps when trying to demonstrate to a couple friends.
Late Ninja Edit: Seems Kyo’s df+D(the double sweep) completely kills Athena’s Reflector. The fireball will go off, but Kyo slides right under it with the second hit and trips you. Pretty lame.
I’ve been using standing D to dodge command grabs. Anybody tried this? My friend and I were testing it in training against Clark and it seems to completely avoid the all of his grabs even at like point blank if timed along with it (she can be grabbed out of the recovery if timed wrong so be careful). We’re not sure if it shifts her hitbox enough so that the grab is simply out of range or if she is just ungrabbable for a few frames but it was working surprisingly well.
You can use any move to do this, I believe. Just don’t stand still =P
someone should really post a kickass CC
CCs in the corner:
350 to Iori:
CC -> :snkc::snkd: -> :snkc::snkd: -> :snkc::snkd: -> :qcb::snkc: -> :hcb::hcb::snkc:
363 to Iori:
CC -> crouching :snkc: x5 -> :qcb::snkc: -> :hcb::hcb::snkc:
The second one I’ve found hard to get to come out every time, so I’m probably going to stick with the first one.
Both of these were done on Iori.
Corner:
CC activate xx CD, qcb+A, (delay), qcb+A, (delay), qcb+A, CD, super (466 damage)
Mid-screen:
CC activate xx CD, qcb+A, Dash, CD, qcb+A, Dash, CD, super (427 damage)
The timing on the CD’s for the mid-screen combo is a bit tough, you must hit them just before they touch the ground in order for the psycho balls to not whiff.
dp+C can also be done instead of the super for both of these combos.
xx=wait?
mm with that last CD before the super he fly’s away
nice combo though!
Yeah, those are better than mine. I’ll try them out when I get home from work today.
I should have thought to use :qcb::snka: instead of :snkc:.
