I don’t know why my cpu won’t read those vids.
I’ve watched some vids where K’ preforms Chain Drive, then after that does a bunch of Minute Spikes, I just wanted to know, are those aerial Minute Spikes or ground?
I think they are ground ones…
Air, Ground have too much recovery after you land.
I just recently noticed I only know how to play a few chars in KOF XI:
- Gato
- K’
- Kula
- Jazu
- Vanessa
- Ozzy
- Eiji
- Ash
I would like to learn:
- Malin
- Duck
- Kasumi
- Kyo
Can any1 give me a rundown on any of those chars? (especially Malin)

2day I spent like $5 on learning some more chars.
These 2 guys came 2day that were pretty good, this provided me some Ozzy practice. I have mastered Ozzy though.
I remebered that my 1st 2 good chars were Ash/Eiji.
Duck, I gotta learn which DM’s are the right ones, doen’t have 4 different DM’s? Plus those wierd comobson blocking opponents, and the confusing 1p/2p differences.
Malin, for some reason I can’t cancel f+lk into qcf+lk, is the timing strict or something?
Kasumi just seems like a change in pace, IMO her LDM does alot of damage, and she has this 1 combo that the cpu does that does alot of damage.
Kyo, quick question, is he similiar to the Kyo in CvS2? If he is I can pick him up like nuttin. Thats how I learned Ben.

The timing isnt too strict for the f+lk into qcf+lk. You have to combo it off of St.C though.
Kyo is a tad bit different in this game. He has the same rekkaken stuff etc but he has his fireball so that adds some things to his repertoire.
U sure you have mastered Oswald as you say?? He aint easy to master. Mastering Oswald means you are able to play like this Japanese player in my Vid #47 and up that uses Kyo-Oswald-Ash(L) If you can truly say you can play like him exactly then you have mastered Oswald. in other words I have yet to see an Oswald Master like these in thse vids.
Instant air Minute Spike. There are a lot of reasons why the ground ones won’t work, but suffice to say the air ones come out faster and have “always”-juggle property.

I was playin him for 5 hours.
The only problem I have is tryin to get club combos, the combos where you cancel a club w/ spade, sumtin like: cst.C, daimond, spade, club, spade, daimond, club, spade, spade xx Four Suits.
I’m stuck doin maybe 3 varients of daimond combos, and thats it, and I really don’t throw cards.
I wish someone made an Oswald tutorial, I really don’t know any tech about Oswald (my Ozzy is all rushdown, no strategy)
But overall, yes my Ozzy is good material. (still wanna see this player just to be sure)
There actually is a Oswald Tutorial on gamefaqs.com but yeah it doesnt hit all the super flashy stuff etc.
ZZ-Jaron I take it you wont be able to make it to FRX no? If not will you be at EVO???
This player is in my set of 54 vids that uses Kyo-Oswald-Ash(L). Check in my thread a couple of pages back when I list the 54 KOFXI vids and start around Vid 47 and watch all the way to the last one to get an idea just exactly what I am talking about with him.
This guys Oswald is more than just Rushdown, he is strategy as well. Watch to see how he tricks his opponent and zones him rather well 2 get what he wants.

EDIT: O…M…F…G, he is good, vid 48 is crazy.
Once again, I have to say, my Oswald is almost that good, just less QSing and cards.
His card tricks are great strategy so that is something I feel all Oswalds need to know about.
Finally managed to get a copy of the game.
So far, my team is Kula(L)/Oswald/(insert random 3rd character), and I’m trying to figure out how to really play the game and how to use the characters properly since I’m rather new to SNK games since there is’nt any play unless it’s across the border.
With Kula, I love abusing shadow low jump’s with C. I don’t really have a game plan after that unless they are near the corner in which I just try landing a random hit into her corner combo’s.
Oswald, same thing pretty much, I also use crouching jabs to link his QCF+Ax2 move. Also, if I see them standing, then I use his crouching D xx into his Jack xx into QCB+A, QCF+B, QCF+A.
As for a 3rd character, I can’t really decide. I like Whip, but seems like she has nothing good anymore, K’ is kinda fun, but I can only really spam his OCF+A into his other commands, and I tried messing around with Gato just so I can be a complete teir whore (I actually did’nt pick Kula and Oswald because of their teir status, they are just cool, heh) but he just feels too weird.
I’m reading this thread, but a lot of it is somewhat confusing. Any random basic advice would be great!
Oh yeah, one more thing, Dark Geese, check your PM’s yea? I’ll be moving down to Denton in like a week. heh

There’s a combo he does I find crazy.
c.D, card, daimond, spade, club, spade cancel, cst.C, heart, cst.C, heart. After that he throws the air card then it looks like he uses c.B, cst.C.
Can c.B link into cst.C?
Another thing is how he QS’s to Kyo alot. Since Kyo has nice easy combos, they add to Ozzy’s combo value.
I wanna find someone else who has combos that are easy like Kyo’s. (I don’t like jockin peoples teams)
Best I could find is K’ w/ his: j.D, cst.C xx f+A xx dp+C, f+D, qcb+b
Also w/ Kula: j.C, cst.C, freeze execution

I told you that guy was Sick with Oswald!!! I will test to see if Cr.b links into St.C with Ozzy and get back to you. It may be on the opponents back too you know look just to see.
