I just bought this from amazon.com the other day, it’s well worth the $15 price tag. Challenge mode is damn fun, some are pretty tough for a KOF newcomer like myself. (Combos, I can’t land combos to save my life whatsoever). The AI is straight up EVIL. Nothing like eating a SDM or big combo on wakeup.

You need to go all “CPU '95 Korea Team” on that Gamestop. Walk up to an employee and if they jab, Flash Kick their arm off. If they don’t jab, throw them for 25% damage.

Great place for getting your fair share of “old but goodie” games in general that you might have missed out on. Like Pinball Williams Hall of Fame PS2…just throwin’ that out there…I love that one.

Hah hah…the training modes in this game are so damn funky…
If you pick a mirror match in training mode, sometimes when your character hits the opponent, the opponent’s teammates will cheer in the background.
Also, in KOF '96, I picked a mirror match in training mode (like I always do) using the Female Team, and instead of playing in their stage (as logic would dictate), I ended up playing in the Yagami Team stage. :wtf:
And is there no option for the training dummy to attack you? :bluu:

I’ve been playing the wii version over the weekend and having a blast reliving my college days.
I didn’t notice any filters on the Wii version, the graphics were sharp and pixelated playing on an HDTV plasma.
For those who have both the PS2 and Wii version, have you seen any difference graphics wise between the two version? Maybe the Wii version is sharper because its outputting at 480p?

I’m predicting that only 3 characters will be useful in tournaments. Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic will be broken. Even Iori won’t be able to handle them.
