KoF MI2 Tier list?

Sabaki itself doesnt have that big of an effect on the game just because of the simple fact that you can sabaki right back. Sure it is a good tactic to use but it is hardly abusable.

You’re totally right.

My point is that it requires you to not use the same tried and true chains over and over. If you use your most damaging/long chain everytime, once any hit gets blocked, you are going to get countered for sure.

For instance, it takes away a person’s ability to do (in SF3 terms) cr.short, cr.short, cr.foward, foward, because if you do it too often, you’re opponent isn’t going to ride out the block string, they’re going to stop it cold.

sabaki is good against certain characters like duke, who can get severly derailed by some good sabaki play, and he can be easy to sabaki as his normals are slow.

I think fio should be higher on your teir list, mainly for the fact that both her distance and upclose games are top notch and very few characters can really do anything against her fireballs from the right range, and her crazyyyy combos with the ball super, plus terry bogard fio is top tier. This game is fun I wish i had a chance to play it more, but there are just too many fighting games to play.

You’re right about Fio, she’s definately a contender.

I don’t have anything solid with her yet, but a mix up between her fire bombs (ground and air) both into and from her running command throw are just sick.

Also, she can get nearly full damage with the ball super on a grounded opponent.

Her downside is that she has like, nothing, to get someone off her once they actually get there.

yeah I just CD out most of the time, or sidestep attack hers has good range, normally no one gets on me too well, her jumping cd is like one of the best in the game…

You know two characters who can give her absolute fits? Alba and Ningon.

Alba has his 3 stage fireball which lets him advance while throwing it and Ningon can explode her fireballs into a large space-taking ball at any point. I think both can actually out gun Fio because even with her range, recovery on machine gun is terrible.

Almost forgot Hattori and Nagase have instant ‘ins’ on Fio with their knee slasher/roof drop moves.

Ningon for sure, but she give everyboday trouble, too much damage with awesome keep away and awesome combos. Never played a competent alba before sadly.

As for Hattori and Nagase, that is true cept I’m pretty sure you can just do jump back cd in reaction to those and it wins, it’s been awhile since I played though so that might be false, also if your talking about the moves I think you are then sabakiing them isn’t too hard with a little practice.

For a while there, before we started expanding out range of characters, Alba and Kula were on everyone’s A-team. He really is like Ken (3S), finding ways to get supers in from every direction.

I thought yuri had a fullscreen 50%+ combo with 1 meter?

Yuri does, that combo is cool. It’s just, you have to hit them first, and thats the hard part.

Interesting…

I’ll say this about that combo though, she had to be in her corner to get it all in. I wonder how much of it can be pulled off once a wall or coner interferes.

Ryo SHOULD be in S-tier for all of the shit they gave him BACK from years of losing all of his cheesiest moves. The elbow guard upper thing is just the tip of the iceburg…

Glad to see this game is still some what alive. I use Billy Kane, don’t know to much bout the game though.
