Can anyone give me any tips/combos with Athena?
I’m running Athena/Billy/Nagase, and she is really potent I think.
with Athena, all u pretty much need to know is QCFx2+both punches, that genei jin mode kills everyone, even Armor Ralf.
Genei jin mode+Psycho Shoot+Psychic Teleport=one dead opponent, although ur opponent will try to get rid of her before she gets that level 2
yeah, VBD that’s the japanese wiki for the game, switch to unicode / jp font and you should be able to see it for the most part
it’d be nice if dark geese could get anybody he knows who likes SNK and speaks japanese to translate it ;_;
and yeah, Athena is on some straight bullshit, i just do shit like:
s.a,a,a,c 236236c activate, run up on them and high low crouch / fuzzy to break their guard ( or hyperhop them if they crouch block you ) then run them to the wall and juggle with repeated jump C’s till you run out, then s.C xx Psycho Sword, if you have meter you can cancel Psycho Sword to Shining Crystal Bit

yeah Regulation A seems pretty good so far, way better than MI2, but too bad it’s not coming here.
Ninon seems pretty much the same although looks like she has some roll away move in the middle of her stylish arts and the floating orb thing.
Also, what’s up between Jenet and Ninon, they have a special intro in this one. so does Mignon and Hyena
My interest in this tittle are growing, but I have some basica noob questions. Is this game tounry worthy, who is top tier…and when does it come out for the PS2(The Regulation A game)?.
yeah the game is tournament worthy, I mean most people say it’s broken but then again, so is Marvel. Top tier is heavily debated right now but most people agree that Billy, Lilly, Richard, Ninon and Athena are top tier. The game itself comes out July 28th

Is Rock Howard as bad as I hear some people say?
For Richard, all you pretty much need to know is Down+Cx3, dp+K and QCF+K, those two moves will kill alot of people by themselves, other than that, just try to play around with some stuff.
In terms of Lilly, play her pretty much how you would Billy but she doesn’t have his level 2 super, but you can use her’s instead with combos that would end in Billy’s level 2, there’s already some combos for Billy posted in the thread, so check them out.
Violent By Design, well Rock isn’t that bad, it’s just some work tryin to get the best out of him, he’s not a brain dead easy to use as Billy, Richard, or Athena, but he’s good by all means.
Yeah I been using that setup with Geese for a while becuse of the bounce but they CAN get out of it.

i play rock as my main and i must say that hes often underrated IMO. The only thing that sucks is that his moves didnt translate as well into 3D. Tommorrow Ill post a long strat with combos and such. too tired right now, later.
Yep I use Rock as my main as well. In truth though he’s mid tier. He’s got some good stuff. But other characters beat him.
I got this game a few weeks ago, Gamestop had it half off, and been using Ninon and Kula. Any advice or tips for either or?
