Anyone has a good ebay international shipping link for this connector? I´d like to have more than a few for the madcatz fuckers in my scene. i´m sick of doing just little patches to the madcatz usb cables
Sorry to bump, but I came to this thread because I was planning to make a new pro cable and needed the pinout, but it seems Photobucket ruined everything and all the pics are dead. @JesseJames can you please reupload the pictures to imgur or some other image hosting site?
Sorry about the double post, but I made some pro cables and tested them and they all work just fine, but at the time I wasn’t sure what the plastic tube thing that came with them was for
It dawned on me that maybe they’re meant to prevent the wires from touching the inside of the connector, but if I’ve already tested the cables and haven’t had any issues, is the fact that I left them out a problem?
It’s just for safety, you wouldn’t want data lines touching eachother or something… if you got the wires soldered firmly there shouldn’t be any kind of problem.
I’d love to have a summary on “Procables” but i’m not sure as i haven’t tested every stick
Madcatz TE2(ps4)/TE2+/TE2(XboxOne)/RazerAtrox(XboxOne) Use the same pinout?
PS4 TE2s (TE2+ included) use the pinout posted by JesseJames
Xbox One TE2, Xbox One Atrox and Panthera use the same pinout according to the IPW video about the Panthera (I think it was posted somewhere on the first page)
In GX series connectors female part of connector very strange on my opinion. I mean look at black insert with contacts. Solder points just near the metal case of connector. Inaccurate soldering and contacts short to the case.
Use flux, a metal soldering sponge and pre-tint all your wires and contacts
You just need to get your wire and contacts “wet” with solder, apply heat and allow them to bond to each other.
I done the exact same thing with Din connectors (regular and mini sized) and certain audio ports.
There is no difference. And yes there heatshrink that will work, and its available at most hardware stores.
